He blocked everyone who tried to get her to drink, taking the glasses from them and drinking them himself. Even the ones who offered him a drink, he drank them all. By the end of it, she could tell that he was a little tipsy, so she helped him to a quiet corner to rest.
He raised his hand to loosen the tie around his neck, leaning against the wall while swaying the wine glass in his hand. His dark eyes never left her.
"Bonnie, I remember you used to drink a lot, didn't you?"
Bonnie knew he was referring to the time when they lived together, and she had been drinking excessively every night. A trace of awkwardness passed over her face, and she instinctively looked away.
"Heh, I can't drink now."
"Can't drink now?"
He laughed lightly, a touch of melancholy in his expression, before raising the glass and preparing to drink. She quickly stopped him, worried.
"Don't drink anymore, you've had enough."
