Cynthia shot Anna a provocative glance, sitting there with the rest of the meeting attendees, waiting for the two main characters. It wasn't entirely surprising that she acted that way toward Anna. Just as she had seen a glimmer of hope between those two, Anna had come in and ruined it. Could she not be upset?
At this point, Anna had quieted down. Cynthia started thinking about Bonnie's reaction earlier, and her strange behavior over the past few days—like not drinking, or switching to flat shoes. Given all these signs, and considering her experience, Cynthia concluded that Bonnie was probably... pregnant!
Realizing this, Cynthia nearly jumped out of her seat in excitement. However, thinking about the current setting, she restrained her bubbling enthusiasm, sitting back with a broad grin, unable to stop herself from smiling.
