James stood in front of the somewhat old apartment building, squinting as he stared at her place, a self-deprecating smile curling on his lips. He, James Boston, a man of great standing, had never been rejected by a woman in his life. And yet, here he was, being turned down when he was the one showing interest. He had told her that offering himself as an exchange meant he liked her and was very much interested in her. Any other woman would have screamed with excitement, wouldn't they?
After a while, he saw her hurriedly rushing out of the building, heading straight into a real estate agency in the neighborhood. He shook his head with a smile and turned around, walking away with a carefree air.
