The decision I'll never forget making, killing my brother after losing my parents.

3 month earlier -

"Captian this mission, we really headed to aether?"

Aether... was my home town, it's said that there were dark things going on there at the time of the call in. Of course I didn't want to believe it since I had spoken to my parents but moments before it came in. We were told the mission could damn well be the end of the town and neighboring if it went south. Yet to me my parents seemed just fine, infact better than the last I'd called.

"Don't worry Luke we'll clear the area and make sure your family gets out with everyone else."

"Just worried for the enemy is all sir."

I gave a smile but he knows I'm faking it. Course I'm worried, my parents are strong but if I lose them I'm not sure I could keep going.

As the helicopter made it's way to the landing zone we made our last gear check before deploy. All to do know is wait for the orders to come in.

"Copy that Colonel, we'll make it fast and be home before you can take the beer out the cooler. [Call ends] Alright boys, Alpha flank left and sweep the area. Charlie sweep the right, leave nothing unturned. Bravo with me, we sweep the middle meet at the end, and be home before morning. Don't let the shadows scare you too much boys.!.!"

Everyone laughed at the remark but got back to business, game's about to start and we're in the first quarter away from home.

"Yo Luke buddy up, you watch me I got you. Your family's fine we'll be out before you know it, come on."

James my bestfriend hated his guts when I first got here but man that guy is.. just as much of an asshole realy but hey we're like brothers now so that's good I guess. I mean of course I'd take a bullet for the guy he's like an annoying older brother to me, but if he did get it definitely wouldn't have come from my direction (cough cough).

"Understood Sergeant, just don't let that new rank get to your head, wouldn't wanna hear you crying about losing to me on your first day. You know the rules one with the highest number wins. Stay sharp don't get caught."

"Copy that, may the best man win. (God I'm glad we're not out here for humans, cause is would've definitely sounded worse if someone heard that)."
