Chapter 14 - Awesome Bloodline Abilities!

Ares knelt on one knee, panting heavily, every muscle in his body trembling from the strain. The hall of Genesis had fallen into a haunting silence.

Bodies lay scattered across the polished floor, most of the youths unconscious, knocked out cold by the sheer pain and exhaustion of forming their bloodline bead.

Those who, like him, hadn't succumbed to the bloodline unsealing process barely numbered a dozen.

A faint, victorious smile crept across Ares' face. He was currently at his weakest with every fibre of him screaming in exhaustion, but he could already feel it—he was different, stronger, even now.

Power hummed beneath his skin, buzzing like a caged beast ready to be unleashed. His physical strength at the moment was already far stronger than before his bloodline had been unlocked just minutes ago.

Just then, a flash of light appeared in his vision. It was his system, pulling up a message.

[Ding! Congratulations! All bloodlines have completed the first unsealing successfully!]

Ares stood to his feet as he stared at the notification. The movement made him really feel how much his body had changed. He had ended up leaping slightly despite the minimal amount of force he had used to stand.

With a smile, he brought up the system interface.

[Primordial System]

Name: Ares Solovar

Stage: Awakened (Basic)

Exp: 0/100

Level: 1]

[Primordial Abilities.]

[Bloodline(s)]

[System Abilities.]

[Technique(s)]

His pulse quickened as he navigated eagerly to the Bloodline section. Finally, it was time to see what he could do.

Just as before, there were two Bloodlines listed: Primordial Predator and Parallel World. This time however, each had its own unique ability, waiting for him to uncover their secrets.

[Bloodline(s)]

[Primordial Predator (SSS)- The great nemesis of the Primordials. Father of the void.

Ability:

Voidfire: This is the most destructive flames in existence, birthed from the void of nihility. As one of the six forces of Chaos, Voidfire can consume anything and devour everything it touches—matter, energy, and even space itself.

If applied to its wielder, it would ignite the strength, endurance, speed and every attribute of the person, pushing it to unimaginable levels.]

Ares blinked, trying to grasp it fully. 'The most destructive flames in existence…' The potential was limitless. With such a powerful flame, his destructive might would be monstrous!

Heck, he could almost call himself the most destructive person at his stage!

And if he applied it to himself...

His gaze shifted to the next Bloodline ability.

[Parallel World (SS)- King of two worlds.

Ability:

Switch: Grants the wielder the ability to shift between worlds, seamlessly stepping from the normal plane to a parallel plane of existence.

Two worlds, two realities… are under the wielder's control.]

Ares's heart hammered in his chest. He deduced that Switch was the ability the cat Primordial fragment had used.

The possibilities were mind-boggling. These abilities—Switch and Voidfire—were beyond anything he'd ever dreamed of.

They were so good he almost felt like he was the actual protagonist of this world.

Yet, as excited as he was to unleash these new powers, he knew he couldn't use them yet.

He needed to first learn how to activate and control his Bloodline bead before he could truly use them. For now, the abilities would remain dormant until he could master them.

With a whir, drones descended over the unconscious youths, injecting energising shots that jolted them awake.

As each one stirred, a wave of excitement spread across the room. Everyone seemed to feel the surge of power, the tangible boost in strength that came with the bloodline unsealing.

Although the effects of their unsealing was not even close to Ares', they had all gotten significantly stronger.

Then a sharp, commanding voice cut through the noise. The vice captain stood at the front, arms crossed, her eyes sharp as she took them all in.

"Congratulations on surviving the bloodline unsealing," she said. Her tone was gruff but held a hint of pride. "But don't get cocky. You're only as strong as your control. Without it, this new strength is useless." She let her gaze linger on each of them.

"This afternoon, you will begin your first training session on how to control your Bloodline bead. Until then, get some rest and prepare yourselves."

Ares felt a thrill run through him at her words. This was it—the next step. Control training. As the group was dismissed, he left the Hall of Genesis, his heart pounding with anticipation.

He couldn't wait to try out his abilities!

Thousands of miles away, in an imposing military office, a man in a perfectly tailored ZMA uniform watched a particular video on his sleek, high-definition screen.

The office was a blend of old-world sophistication and cutting-edge technology, the walls lined with rich, dark wood and high-tech displays blinking with classified information.

The man in grey sat in quiet concentration, his uniform adorned with seven stripes on each shoulder, indicating his senior status.

He watched the video in intense silence, his expression unreadable as he listened to the audio feed playing alongside the visuals.

From the device, a man's nervous voice echoed, "This… can't be right... His bloodline potency is far too strong. The 25% dilution of Primordial essence isn't enough to unseal his Bloodline…"

The official leaned closer, hearing the next phrase with intense focus: "Prepare the 70% batch."

As the video ended, the man steepled his fingers, his brows furrowing in deep thought.

He leaned back, rubbing his chin subconsciously. There was something about this that gnawed at him, a strange intuition he couldn't shake. He picked up his comms device and placed a call.

"Captain Morgan," he began, his tone as calm as it was commanding. "In your batch, there's a certain Ares Solovar. I want you to monitor him closely. Report anything unusual to me at once."

After ending the call, he stared out the window at the sprawling bastion below, his expression still and pensive. He murmured quietly to himself, as though voicing a hidden worry.

No matter what, he would always trust his intuition...

"Peak SS grade… the Great Bloom…"
