Ares walked into the room he had left Angel in, and his heart skipped a beat when he didn't find her on the bed.
But when he heard the shower running, he decided to wait for her.
Ten minutes had passed already, but she was still in the shower.
He grew worried again, and decided to check on her.
Without considering her bodily state, he walked into the bathroom, and paused just by the door.
She was sitting on the floor, her head buried over the tub, and the shower turned on.
"Angel?" He called.
"I don't like the sound of the guns. The shower drowned it," she whispered in a hollow voice.
The need to protect her arose in him, and he swiftly drew closer to her.
Carrying her into his arms, he brought her to the room, and dropped her on the bed.
"You came," she murmured.
Ares caught her words, and forced a smile. "I told you I would," he replied.
"You did. What happened?"
