Angel began to panic as she watched his lips draw closer to hers.
She knew everything happening was wrong, but she couldn't find enough strength in her to stop it.
The closer Ares lips got to hers, the harder the urge to close her eyes and just surrender to this strange urge in her, aroused.
His lips were just inches from hers, when her chest jolted.
"I can't. Don't do it. I have David, and you have Ava," she said.
"What?" Ares moved his head back, and tilted his brow in wait for an explanation.
"You can't kiss me. That's cheating, you know?"
"Oh really?" The arching of his brow jumped from one to the other in humorous amusement.
"Yes. It's morally wrong. I'm not a cheater. If David finds out I've kissed you before, he'll be pissed and rightly so. That's cheating," she said again, talking more to herself than to him.
It had taken a great deal of effort for her to pull away.
