"Thank you," she murmured as she pulled her scarf closer, a soft muffled sound that sent warmth through me despite the chilly breeze.
"No problem," I said, trying to keep my voice casual. The tension was palpable, a stark contrast to the serene beauty of our surroundings.
We made our way to the taxi stand, and I couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement. This was it. The start of our adventure.
