Chapter 19 - A Date with Jinn

As I guided Priya through the corridors of our school, showing her the art project I had created, she couldn't help but smile continuously. Our hands would occasionally brush against each other, and she didn't pull away. It was as if she was giving me a clear signal of her feelings.

When we had some privacy, I confessed to her, "You know, the moment I first laid eyes on you, I began to like you." I was aware that my actions might have been perceived as hasty, but I felt deep down that she was the one meant for me, and she didn't seem to mind.

Looking into her eyes, I noticed her cheeks turn a delightful shade of pink, which made me whisper, "You're blushing."

With a gentle squeeze of my hand, she replied, "I also liked you from the start. I just wanted to understand you more."

Feeling playful, I decided to tease her a little, asking, "Did you fall in love with me at first sight?"

Without any hesitation or a hint of blush in her voice, she confessed, "Yes."

We shared a quiet moment together, basking in the realization of our mutual feelings until we arrived at the doorstep of our classroom.

When she entered, the class went silent. Seeing her with me must have shocked them, fueling rumors. We sat, and she sat beside me.

"Are you free after this?" I asked her, breaking the awkwardness from earlier.

"Yes, yes. I am completely free," she said with a smile.

couldn't help but smile after hearing her answer. "Then wanna go somewhere after college?" I asked eagerly.

"Yes, of course," she said with a smile.

"Okay!" After our class ended, we collected our papers and headed to a cafe.

"Um, do you wanna go somewhere else?" I asked her excitedly.

"Somewhere else?" She asked me with hope in her eyes.

"Yes, like for a movie?" I asked her, subtly hinting at a date.

"I am absolutely thrilled!" she exclaimed as she linked arms with me. "It's a date then."

"Absolutely," I replied with a smile.

As we walked away, Ratika and Liya caught sight of us from behind.

"Who is she?" Liya inquired, her voice tinged with jealousy and envy.

"Just a new transfer student," Ratika replied nonchalantly.

"She came out of nowhere and started openly flirting with my big brother. I don't like her at all. She's way too clumsy around him," Ratika said, her tone dripping with jealousy.

Abhi, who had just arrived, asked, "What are you guys talking about?"

"Jain is going somewhere with the new student," Lily explained.

"Wow, bro is really making progress quickly," Abhi remarked with a laugh.

"Don't laugh," Ratika warned. "We don't know if she's only interested in brother because of his money."

"Nah, I don't think so," Abhi reassured them. "Besides, bro is quick-witted. If she's after his money, he'll figure it out right away."

"I still don't like her." Ratika pouted and went to the cafe.

"Ratika, wait," Abhi followed her.

Lily looked at Abhi and Priyatama, who had just vanished into the crowd and felt down. She also followed Ratika to the cafe.

As we headed to the movie theater, we held each other's hands. When we arrived at the theater, I went to get the tickets. When I returned, I saw many boys watching her from afar. She looked gorgeous, standing there expressionless. But when she saw me, she smiled widely.

"Let's go," I said, offering her my hand.

She gladly took it. "Yes, let's go." Everyone looked surprised and envious of me. As we sat down, she still hadn't let go of my hand.

"Is it a horror movie?" she asked.

"Ahh, yes. Sorry, do you dislike horror?" I asked, realizing I had bought the tickets without consulting her.

"No, no. I like horror movies. Besides, even if I don't like a particular genre, as long as I'm with you, I can enjoy it," she said, looking at me.

"You really flatter me," I said.

"Don't misunderstand. I won't flirt with anyone besides you," she whispered in my ear. Her hot breath and the glance she gave me made me feel a little excited.

As the movie started, she kept glancing at me and playing with my hand. I could tell she was someone who wouldn't reject me no matter what I did. Despite this, I held back. I didn't want her to think I was a womanizer trying to make a move on the first date.

One downside to horror movies is the abundance of bold scenes. As I watched them and felt her hand in mine, I couldn't help but steal glances at her.

To my surprise, she was looking back at me. With a surge of confidence, I gently touched her cheek and leaned in closer. She didn't pull away or show any sign of disgust.

I took a chance and kissed her. Her soft, warm lips felt like they were melting in my mouth. The excitement and passion of the moment were overwhelming.

As our lips met, the world seemed to fade away. I gently traced her bottom lip with my tongue, and she responded in kind, our mouths dancing together in a rhythm that felt both familiar and thrilling.

But just as we became fully immersed in the moment, a sudden cough from behind us broke the spell. We pulled away, eyes wide, and couldn't help but giggle at the interruption.

She rested her head on my shoulder, and I tangled my fingers with hers. We turned our attention back to the movie, but my mind was still reeling from the rush of our kiss. I couldn't believe how easily we had fallen into that moment together.

As we sat there, wrapped up in each other and the story unfolding on the screen, I felt a sense of warmth and contentment wash over me. I knew that no matter what happened next, I would always cherish this moment – our first kiss, and the beginning of something truly special.

As her lips brushed my ear, she whispered, "You quite something, huh." The playful tone in her voice made my heart race.

"Same goes for you," I replied, my own voice laced with teasing.

She pulled back slightly, a mischievous glint in her eye. "It's my first kiss, you know."

I couldn't help but believe her. There was something about her that was unlike anyone I had ever met before. She was made for me, for me only.

"Mine too," I confessed, my heart pounding in my chest.

When I put my hand on her leg, she jumps a bit, surprising me. She giggles and tells me she's scared of horror films. It's really sweet to see how real she is about it.

I lean closer and give her neck a soft kiss, making her tense up and then relax. She tilts her head to let me kiss her more easily, and I do, enjoying every moment of it.

Her breath gets deeper and I feel her heart pound under my hand. It's exciting to know I affect her this way. As I keep kissing her neck, I know we're going to have a special night full of romance and memories we'll never forget.

After the movie, we went to a restaurant for lunch. As we sat down at our table, I noticed a small mark on her neck, a reminder of our earlier intimacy.

"Sorry about that," I whispered, pointing it out gently.

Her eyes widened as she reached for a small mirror. Upon seeing the faint hickey, she blushed a deep red, her hand flying up to cover it.

"Don't worry," she murmured, her voice slightly shaky. "It's not that noticeable."

I leaned in closer, my voice a soft assurance. "You're beautiful, that I couldn't help."

Our conversation flowed easily as we enjoyed our meal, the warmth of our shared secret lingering between us. Despite the occasional glance from curious classmates, our bond felt unshakeable.

We talked about our hopes and dreams, our fears and insecurities. It was as if we had known each other for an eternity, our souls resonating with every word spoken.

As we finished our meal, she placed her hand over the mark, a silent plea for privacy. I nodded, understanding the delicate balance between our newfound love and the prying eyes of the outside world.

"Let's go," she whispered, her voice a mix of excitement and apprehension.

We left the restaurant, the mark on her neck a silent promise of the passion we had shared and the love that was just beginning to blossom between us.

We took a taxi and I dropped her off near her house. She told me, "I can walk from here. It's just a minute away." She showed me her phone to let me know we had each other's numbers. I was happy she was okay with it.

As we talked, I asked if she was sure and she replied, "Yes, it's a quick walk. I'll call you when I get home." This made me feel better about her safety. I gave her a smile and said goodbye.

After three minutes, she called. "Hello," I answered. She said, "I'm home now." Then she thanked me for the day and said she had a really fun time. We talked more as I went home, and our little date ended on a high note with lots of excitement and happiness.
