"Can we sign the contract now? I didn't come alone, and my staff are still waiting for me outside," Odeta voiced her concerns.
He elegantly cut a piece of meat on his plate, picked it up with his fork, and raised it to his lips.
"I am still eating; they can wait," he said and put it in his mouth, chewing it.
Odeta could feel the alcohol coursing through her veins, its effects intensifying with each passing moment. Sitting there, doing nothing, only accelerated the warmth spiraling through her body. She needed to do something; she needed to get out of there.
