Don Gardner returned from the video conference he had just had with his business associates in other countries and a few managers here in Manhattan and sat on his chair exuding a powerful presence.
Julian, who had arrived and had followed him into the office, greeted him and began his report.
"Good morning, boss. We looked into Mr. Hunter's movements you asked about, and we found something strange. He seems to have been waiting in the parking lot for a long time before the madam came down, and from their interactions before you arrived, the madam seems to know him. Here's video footage of the parking lot, but there's no audio," Julian said, sliding the tablet PC toward his boss.
Don Gardner watched the interactions between them, and his eyes narrowed; even though there had been some slight hesitation on Odeta's part, her actions didn't look like someone who had seen Cedric for the first time.
