After calling James' number twice in a row without an answer, Odeta knew something must have happened. There was no way James would ignore her like this. She became worried and thought of calling John, Don Gardner's secretary, but she realized she didn't have his contact.
As she paced in her office, she decided to call back her driver to come and pick her up. Maybe she might find out something when she reaches home.
As she pulled out the phone to call the driver, an incoming call came through the phone; in a hurry, without checking who was calling, she picked up the phone only to hear a deep voice on the other side of the phone.
"Are you still waiting for him? I didn't want to burst your bubble seeing how eager you are to see him, but he won't come," Cedric said in a cold voice, with no hints of empathy.
