At the president's office in Phoenix Technology Company, Odeta sat behind her desk staring at her phone in a daze.
'What the hell just happened?'
In her confusion, she heard someone knock on the door and said absentmindedly, "Come in."
Linda entered with some files she gently lowered onto her desk.
"The planning department is done with phase one of the project proposal and wants you to look through it," Linda said respectfully and added,
"And CEO Adam Gray is still insisting that he won't leave until you give him an audience. He says to tell you that Odelia Graham was still a murder suspect before her death."
Odeta had been listening halfheartedly until Linda said the last part of her sentence. 'Was Adam Gray blackmailing her? But if she allowed him to come into the office to chat, wouldn't that blow her cover? He would be more presumptuous in the future and might use her fears against her.'
