"What is going on here? Did I come at a bad time? John looks like he's running away from a tiger," Jeffrey joked, his countenance playful as he took a chair opposite his friend and sat down.
Don Gardner just waved his hand as if dismissing his words and said, "Forget about that fool; sometimes I wonder why I keep him around."
"Really? You call John, who effortlessly handles all the loads of work that comes with being the secretary of such a workaholic and overbearing boss as yourself, a fool? Give him to me if you don't want him," Jeffrey said and laughed out loud when he saw the look on Don Gardner's face.
"You see, you cherish him; you clearly don't want to hand him over," Jeffrey added, making fun of Don Gardner at his own expense.
