Odelia had lived with Aunt Bertha and his son Matthew for a week now and had realized the woman earned a meager salary from working as a maid for a middle-class family in town. However, since her son Matthew had a weak heart and they lacked the funds to afford surgery, he had to be on constant medication, which was quite expensive, and that was also dwindling the little income she had.
At first, Odelia gave Aunt Bertha some money to buy groceries and some needed items to be used in the house, but after a while, she realized her little money would soon run out, and an idea popped up in her mind.
One night after Aunt Bertha returned from work, Odelia approached her with a business proposal.
