Odeta's heart skipped a beat after hearing the anger in James' words. 'Why is he angry? Does he know she left with Cedric?'
"I'm in the restaurant; we moved the contract signing there at the last minute," Odeta said in a calm voice, hoping that she was the only one who could hear the loud thumping of her heart.
"Which restaurant?" He asked in a clipped tone.
"Um… Kings Crown Restaurant," she said.
"Stay put; I'm on my way to pick you up," he said. Odeta's heart skipped a beat; she was in a totally different place; how could she stay put?
"No need!" She yelled, but she realized her reaction was too strong and said in a calmer voice.
"You don't need to come; we have finished with the contract signing. I'm about to return to the office. So you don't need to come," she said.
"Stay put!" He growled with an air of finality and hung up the phone.
