Chapter 126 - C104(2)

"Fiendfyre, Fiendfyre," Kain murmured after reading the incantation for the Curse. The next second, he felt the magic surge within him, and a swirl of fiery flames appeared in his palm.

Fiendfyre was extremely violent. It would burn anything that could be burned, and if uncontrolled, it could incinerate an entire city. However, now Kain found Fiendfyre to be surprisingly docile, as obedient as a pet in his palm.

"Is this the bloodline of the Phoenix? It's really too strong."

Kain praised it and even placed his palm into the Fiendfyre, but the fire didn't hurt him at all; instead, he felt warmth.

Fiendfyre was not difficult for him, and as for the other dark arts, it was not suitable to test them in the restricted area. Kain simply wrote down all the relevant content and planned to write it out with magic when he returned.

It's a pity that Muggle devices are not allowed at Hogwarts. It is said that any charged devices cannot be used here, and Kain wasn't sure if batteries would work. However, with the help of magic, it would be easy to copy everything again.

He was already doing this, writing down the more interesting records in the Hogwarts library, then copying them to take back as a collection.

After a busy night, he returned to the office at dawn.

Kain didn't go to the Hogwarts cafeteria for breakfast but had a 'simple' meal in his office.

Afterward, he tidied his clothes and headed to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom on the fourth floor.

When Kain arrived at the classroom, the students were already seated neatly.

"Kain Pent."

Kain's name appeared in the air and disappeared after a few seconds.

"To be honest, I have no teaching experience, but since Professor Dumbledore invited me, I won't waste this class. Does anyone know the meaning of Defense Against the Dark Arts?"

As soon as Kain finished asking the question, Hermione raised her arm high above her head.

"Miss Granger."

"Teach us to defend against all kinds of dangerous magic and dangerous creatures, Professor Pent."

Hermione replied with a slightly raised face, only calling Kain "Godfather" when the two of them were alone in private.

"For the standard answer, Gryffindor will get two points. However, the answers in the textbook are not comprehensive enough."

"If I were to rate the degree of danger, humans would definitely come first. Other dangerous creatures have clear weaknesses and countermeasures, but only dark wizards have no standard solution."

After Kain finished speaking, he extended his hand to the students below and waved to both sides.

In the next second, the desks and chairs that two students were sitting on were taken away by a magical force and piled up against the walls on both sides. Once the students stood up, the floating spell was lifted.

"Oh, Professor Pent is amazing!"

Several female students whispered among themselves with expressions of admiration. Their behavior irritated Hermione, but before they finished speaking, Kain cast a traceless extension spell on the left and right walls, causing the room to expand by a whole circle.

"He doesn't use a wand!"

Ron whispered to Harry with a shocked expression. It was the same when he moved the tables and chairs just now, and it didn't even seem like he was using a spell.

Silent casting and wandless casting—students like Harry and Ron, who don't know much about magic, may not fully understand it, but some Slytherin students certainly do. Those who can perform both are definitely powerful wizards.

"The next step is to train the timing of your shots. When facing an enemy, you can protect yourself by defeating the opponent first; so, as long as you feel the opponent may attack you, you must take the first step at that moment."

What Kain was teaching these young wizards was the attitude of the American police when confronting an enemy.

With this level of vigilance, even when facing dark wizards, there is a chance to deal with them. If the occasion weren't so sensitive, he might have even wanted to discuss dealing with people of different ambitions.

"In the first class, you can treat me as the enemy. During my lessons, as long as someone finds my weakness, they can take advantage of it at any time. If they succeed—"

"Petrify!"

Before Kain could finish speaking, Hermione pulled out her wand and cast a spell at him.

Not only were the other students surprised, but Kain almost didn't react in time either. Though his physical fitness would have allowed him to avoid the spell easily, he stood still, thinking of his goddaughter who had cast it.

Boom.

The Petrification Charm hit Kain's chest with only a spark, and then it had no effect.

The classmates around Hermione were stunned. They hadn't expected her to dare attack the professor in class.

"Very well, ten points from Gryffindor!"

"As I mentioned earlier, when dealing with an enemy, you need to take advantage of the opponent's opening and act decisively. In this case, Miss Granger has done well. Even I didn't expect it."

"Next, during my lessons, if no one performs better than Miss Granger, I will give her the prize. But if someone makes a move that's too obvious, one point will be deducted from your house. So students, think carefully before making a move."

After Kain finished speaking, the students' eyes in the classroom widened with excitement. The spark of excitement in their eyes was clear.

The idea of being able to cast spells on professors without consequences sounded thrilling, but most of them focused on the prizes and points, ignoring the warnings and deductions Kain had mentioned.
