Chapter 123 - C102(2)

During this more than a month, Kain had received two potion stores from Europe. Because they couldn't buy dragon materials, they had to sign a transaction contract with Kain's magic material store.

The inventory that Guy bought was directly reduced by more than half, so he and three other employees had to purchase a large amount of magic materials and carry out annexation expansion.

Guy had been promoted by Kain to be the store manager, and he hadn't touched his favorite brewed potions for more than a month. Instead, he was busy with business wholeheartedly.

"Godfather, are you ready for Defense Against the Dark Arts after school starts?"

After Hermione put down the Daily Prophet, she turned her head and asked Kain, her piercing brown eyes looking at him expectantly.

"I haven't prepared anything for my second year. Although Phil said he can help me, but..."

If Kain still couldn't understand this look, then he was blind. After thinking about it for a while, Hermione brewed potions for twenty days in a month, so he really should go out with her.

"Let's go, Hermione. I was planning to go out for a stroll today. You're in your second year now. Do you want to bring a flying broom to Hogwarts? I heard the Firebolt works really well."

Hermione wasn't happy for long after hearing about the shopping. She quickly shook her head and said, "No need, Godfather, I don't like flying broomsticks."

If she had to choose between potions and broomsticks, Hermione would definitely choose to brew potions. She had made amazing progress in potions; she had been able to brew the Polyjuice Potion last month and was now trying other types of potions.

Then Hermione went to change clothes. She often wore white tights at Kain's house, and although the reason given was that they were more comfortable, Hermione would change into other clothes when she went out.

Now that school was approaching, Diagon Alley was full of wizarding families who had come to buy items. The Grangers didn't come today—maybe Hermione had gone back to tell them yesterday.

"Godfather, we can go to the bookstore first. Today is Mr. Lockhart's new book launch. I want to buy a set of his travel notes."

Hermione was wearing a wizard robe, full of active and youthful energy. She now resembled a little white rabbit leading the way.

"Lockhart? He writes well, but he seems like a liar himself."

Kain thought of this person and whispered in Hermione's ear. This guy had a lot of fans; if Kain had said this in public, he might have been in trouble.

Hermione opened her small mouth in disbelief and said, "How is that possible?"

Kain replied, "This is what Dumbledore told me. He originally chose Lockhart for the Defense Against the Dark Arts class because Hogwarts could expose him, but now it's replaced by me. Dumbledore should have other plans though."

The greatest wizard of this century, and one of her favorite wizard writers, Hermione was a little embarrassed when she heard these words.

After a moment, she still decided to trust Kain and Dumbledore, but she still seemed to find the idea as unpleasant as the taste of earwax-flavored jelly beans.

Kain smiled when he saw Hermione's puffy cheeks and persuaded her, "His stories are all plagiarized from other wizards, using obliviate. The ones in the book should be true, and you can replace them with others when you read them. Stories are true."

"Absolutely not, it's plagiarism, it's a crime!"

Hermione said angrily. "I hope Professor Dumbledore exposes this shameless guy soon."

Next, Hermione deliberately avoided the bookstore, taking Kain to other places to buy what she needed. What she could change were the wizard clothes and textbooks. After visiting some dessert shops, Hermione finally went to the bookstore.

However, when Kain and Hermione arrived at the bookstore, they saw a commotion in front of it, as if someone was fighting.

"Godfather, those are my friends, Harry and Ron!"

Hermione spotted her friends from the academy in the fight and tugged on Kain's clothes. "Can I help them, Godfather? That guy Malfoy is very annoying at school."

"People around you will notice you. The Ministry of Magic does not allow wizards to use magic duels in Diagon Alley. Put away your wands, Hermione."

Kain told Hermione to put her wand back and cast a silent binding spell, remembering that Lucius Malfoy had vilified him in the Daily Prophet.

The next second, Lucius Malfoy, who was fighting, was imprisoned by a magical force. His eyes widened, and he was punched several times by Arthur Weasley.

However, Arthur also noticed that Lucius was imprisoned by magic, so he wouldn't fight back. After he stopped, Lucius suddenly regained his freedom.

"You have a good helper, Arthur!"

Lucius said to Arthur Weasley with resentful eyes. It was the first time he'd been so humiliated. Under the watchful eyes of dozens of people, he was punched several times by Arthur, his deadly enemy, and couldn't fight back.

And most importantly, he hadn't figured out who had cast the spell; otherwise, he could've reported it to the Ministry of Magic to have Arthur fined.

"Isn't this Mr. Malfoy?"

Someone next to them suddenly spoke. After hearing this, Lucius and Arthur turned their heads to look in the direction of the voice. They saw a handsome wizard with a noble air.

After the young wizard greeted them, he walked towards them, followed by a little wizard with fluffy hair.

It was just that Arthur felt this person looked familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere a few days ago.

"Mr. Kain Pent."

Lucius gritted his teeth and called out Kain's name. He probably guessed who had cast the Imprisonment Curse on him. Kain was a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts and a colleague of his on the school board.
