"Godfather!"
After getting off the Hogwarts Express, Hermione saw Kain in the crowd for the first time in a while and happily ran over to him.
"Hermione, long time no see. It looks like you've been doing well at Hogwarts, at least you've grown a little taller."
Kain smiled and stroked Hermione's fluffy hair, then took the luggage trolley from her hand. "I've already informed your parents and booked the restaurant. Now, you can tell us something interesting about Hogwarts."
This point is Hermione's specialty—what she likes most is someone who listens to her seriously. After hearing Kain's arrangement, she couldn't wait to sit at the table.
"Godfather, what did you do before?"
"I went to find someone to study the problem of squibs. So far, it's been very successful, and I've also hired a very powerful wizard. You can come to Diagon Alley and ask him some questions about spells."
"Really? This is great news! I'm still struggling with what to do during the summer vacation. Wait a minute, Godfather, you just said that the problem of squibs is solved?"
Kain had booked a restaurant next to the Thames River. The night view here was beautiful, and the dishes were exquisite. After eating here, he even wanted Phil and Isaac to come to learn cooking skills.
The cooking skills of the house-elves seemed to be passed down through the family. They cooked a lot each time, but there weren't many delicacies, and the food was mostly traditional British fare.
After Hermione sat down at the table, she began to tell stories about her school trips. Kain had some knowledge of the wizarding world, so he wasn't surprised to hear it, but the Grangers were fascinated.
They couldn't imagine what it would be like with hundreds of little wizards gathered together.
Moreover, all the interesting things about Hogwarts moved the Granger couple deeply. They both wished they could become little wizards and go to class there.
After dinner, Hermione went home with the Grangers, though it was clear she wanted to stay with Kain. She hadn't figured out the Squib issue yet.
But Kain wouldn't do that; after all, the Grangers hadn't seen Hermione for a year. It wouldn't be right to take her away on the first day back.
There's plenty of time during the holidays, and Hermione could come to Diagon Alley to visit him anytime.
While Kain was having dinner with the Grangers, Newt was also hosting Dumbledore.
Scamander's family dinners weren't British, because his wife was American, and Newt's grandson wasn't there. The manor was usually just him and Tina.
"Newt, you didn't explain clearly enough in your letter, so I just came at the door, but I didn't expect such a delicious dinner. Thank you, Tina, I think I am almost full."
Dumbledore politely declined Tina's warm hospitality, then brought the conversation back to his purpose for coming.
"I don't quite understand what you mean in your letter, Newt. Can you explain it to me in detail?"
"Of course, Dumbledore, you should remember the letter I sent you when school started," Newt swallowed the food in his mouth, wiped his mouth, and then said to Dumbledore.
"Of course I remember. Thanks to Mr. Pent and Fawkes, this year Hogwarts has a new look, and the Potions classroom that Severus had requested for so long has finally been renovated."
Dumbledore nodded and added that the 35,000 Galleons hadn't even been fully spent, and there was no need to persuade the Ministry of Magic or the school board to allocate more funds for the next school year.
"He is no longer the Squib he mentioned in his letter. He's become a wizard, and even possesses very powerful magical abilities."
Newt Scamander slowly recalled his experiences with Kain over the past period and spoke to Dumbledore.
"Moreover, his control over his magic is so precise that he can cancel spells, casting silently and without a wand. The only problem is that he doesn't know many spells yet, most of what he knows is from spell textbooks."
"Did you send the recruitment advertisement in the Daily Prophet a few days ago? I believe Mr. Pent is looking for a Charms teacher for himself."
"Also, he's a businessman. Using his extraordinary talents, he signed a contract with the Romanian Dragon Training Farm. Dumbledore, if you want to buy fire dragon materials in the future, I'm afraid you'll have to go through him."
During the time Newt spent with Kain in Romania, he hadn't been idle. He had been observing Kain carefully, relying on his special intuition.
"If you can't find a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, I think Kain would be a great choice."
Newt continued, "He may lack the basic foundations of magic, but he has a strong desire to learn. When I used a spell he didn't understand, I noticed he would secretly try to learn it. After I cast the spell three times, Kain had completely memorized and mastered it, which amazed me."
