On the other hand, Kain felt quite embarrassed seeing Kushina struggling to walk. Earlier, he'd rested his head on her lap and fallen asleep. By the time he woke up, her legs had gone numb.
"Let me help you, Kushina—just like before!"
Kain said, quickly casting a healing spell on her. The spell was capable of treating common ailments and injuries and worked similarly to medical ninjutsu's Healing Jutsu.
Advanced healing magic in the Harry Potter world could handle even black magic-induced injuries, but for ordinary problems like this, it was a simple fix.
Kushina's difficulty walking was merely due to poor blood circulation from having Kain use her lap as a pillow for too long. After the healing magic took effect, she immediately felt her legs return to normal.
Kushina bounced on the spot and exclaimed, "Boss, was that medical ninjutsu just now?"
"It's not medical ninjutsu, but another ability that only I can use," Kain replied with a smile.
With that, the two began walking toward the Senju compound. Kain still had business with Tsunade. He wasn't sure if she had completed her research on specific drugs yet, but judging by their last conversation, she had likely finished at least two and possibly three.
Two drugs would already be enough for Kain. They'd allow his biopharmaceutical company to secure a substantial share of the pharmaceutical market in the Marvel world, potentially making it an industry leader.
When they arrived at Tsunade's house, Nawaki was already preparing dinner. Upon seeing Kain, he immediately set an extra place at the table.
Not long after, Tsunade returned home. She barely acknowledged Kain, offering a casual, "You're here," before calling Nawaki to help with dinner.
After the meal, Tsunade led Kain to the Senju district. When Konoha was founded, the area had been bustling with Senju clan members. Now, just twenty years later, only Tsunade, Nawaki, and Kushina lived there.
The rest of the houses stood abandoned.
"Tsunade, is the special medicine ready?" Kain asked, breaking the silence.
"I knew you'd ask," Tsunade replied, folding her arms. "I've prepared three types. I've tested them on several cases, and all were cured. But you'd better run more experiments. I'll give you the formulas to take back with you. As for the fourth one, I haven't had time to study it, and cases for it are hard to find."
"As expected of a medical master. Your medical ninjutsu must be the best in the entire shinobi world, Tsunade," Kain said, sincerely impressed.
Developing three specialized medicines in such a short time was no small feat. If word got out, other researchers might cry in despair.
Tsunade smirked slightly but didn't reply to the compliment.
"So, what's the reason you called me out here?" Kain asked, curious about her intentions.
Tsunade shook her head and said, "It's nothing. I just wanted to ask what your purpose is. You seem so busy, yet despite your wealth, you're not enjoying life like other businessmen."
Kain replied directly, "Purpose? My purpose is simple—I want to do whatever I want. Right now, I'm working hard toward that goal. Tsunade, don't beat around the bush. If you have something to say, just say it. I think we can count as friends."
Tsunade fell silent for a moment. Lately, she had been hearing more and more about Konoha's situation and Kain's actions.
It had left her feeling upset and even angry. For days, she hadn't touched her favorite wine or gambled, which was uncharacteristic of her. After dinner, she decided to confront Kain to clear things up.
But now, she found herself at a loss for words.
The truth was, Tsunade realized she had no real position to criticize him.
Kain was a businessman, like many others in the Land of Fire. He was entitled to do business with Konoha, the Land of Lightning, or the Land of Earth. Besides, Kain wasn't even from the Land of Fire.
"Did you sell the medicine to others?" Tsunade finally asked.
"Of course," Kain replied without hesitation. "Konoha can't buy everything. Medicines are also sold in pharmacies across the Land of Fire and even in the Land of Waves. Once they're produced, they need to be sold. Otherwise, what do you expect me to do—let them rot on the shelves?"
His answer was quick and confident, though how much of the truth he chose to reveal was entirely up to him.
Tsunade hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Can the price of the medicines be lower? Konoha desperately needs these supplies."
She wanted to say more but ended up leaving it at that.
Kain thought for a moment before replying, "I can sell them to you at a discount—30% lower than the initial price. However, if you're buying them through Konoha's channels, the price will stay the same as last time. Tsunade, I see you as a friend, so I don't want to see you in a difficult position."
