Lyra led Kira into the house, her steps light and silent, while Nozzy followed with crossed arms and a skeptical expression. Night had fallen, and the darkness surrounding the area seemed even denser, almost as if the Abyss itself were watching. As they entered, Lyra pointed to a carefully drawn circle on the floor, glowing with runes that pulsed with energy.
"Sit down, Kira. Let's begin the next step of your journey," Lyra said, her voice soft.
Kira obeyed, sitting in the center of the circle with her legs crossed. She closed her eyes and tried to focus, breathing deeply. For a few moments, she seemed to be reaching a state of serenity, but soon her mind began to wander.
