The scorching heat of the desert seemed unaffected by Nalia as she walked toward the makeshift camp of the Far Eastern tribes. The leaders had accepted her quickly after her introduction, a mixture of respect and curiosity surrounding her unique ability to manipulate space. Although she was still a newcomer, it was not long before she was placed on the front lines, for Arvandor gave the tribes no respite.

Each day brought fierce battles that began at dawn and lasted until dusk, with the desert sand stained with blood.
