Leaving the establishment hand in hand, Orion kept his gaze fixed on the streetlights, searching for the right words to break the silence that hung between them.
"Look... um... I have a wife," he muttered, visibly embarrassed.
Selene let out a soft laugh, clearly amused by his discomfort. "Hmm, Orion, that's a common occurrence in immortal society." She looked at him, her eyes sparkling with warm provocation. "Throughout my life, I've seen many relationships... some strange, others more... traditional. But I must say, exclusivity between just two people is something rare among immortals."
She laughed again, remembering something from the past. "A friend of mine, billions of years ago, in our youth, had 103 husbands... but killed them all for delaying her immortal practice!" Selene gave an amused look at Orion, who raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the story.
