"There seems to be something wrong," Vegeta said as he prepared to go on the stage.
However, he was stopped by Goku.
"Stop. Vegeta. If you do that you will be disqualified." Goku said with a straight face to Vegeta.
"Wait. What?" Vegeta was shocked by Goku's words.
"Your son and my son look like they are going to fight to the death and that's what you are worried about," Vegeta yelled at Goku.
Then he flew towards Goten and Trunks to stop the two from fighting but before he could the two disappeared.
It seems like a strange magic teleported the two of them away into another place.

"Wait where are we?" Goten asked when he realized they were not at the tournament anymore.
Trunks didn't care as he continued to attack Goten.
Knowing that he can't mess around anymore Goten finally decided to fight back.
"Fine. If that's what you want be it." Goten said as he released his full power.
"That's more like it." Trunks said as he also powered up.
However, something was strange as Goten saw a lighting aura surrounding Trunks.
As Trunks reached a power level so high that it nearly doubled Goten's current power.
"He did it," Goten said in shock as he realized what Trunks did.
Trunks becomes a Super Saiyan 2.
Is that because he reached a high enough power level? Goten thought in his mind.
No. If that's the only requirement I would have already become one too. He concluded.
His power is comparable to a Super Saiyan 2 so if that is the only requirement that he needed Goten would have already become a Super Saiyan 2.
"Emotional state," Goten said as he frowned.
That magician is using Trunks's emotional state to control him. I have to stop him. Even if I have to use force. Goten thought as he dashed towards Trunks.
He tries to kick him in the head but Trunks pushes him away.
He immediately recovered and continued to throw a fury of punches and Kicks at Trunks.
Although Trunks was able to shrug off some attacks without any damage, some of Goten's attacks were harming him despite the difference in strength.
Trunks smiled at the prospect of Goten finally showing his full power.
"Star Breaker," Goten said as he created a small blue orb made of ki in his hand which is similar to Vegeta's Big Bang attack.
Which was crushed in his hands as he launched blue dust that appeared after the orb was crushed towards Trunks.
A huge explosion occurred.
"Double Buster." A beam appeared from within the smoke.
Goten dodged the attack as he saw it coming but by the time he realized it, he was already hit in the stomach by Trunks's fist.
The power gap was too big.
Trunks then grabbed him by his tail, spun him for a while and threw him away into the air.
"Finish Buster." Trunks said as he launched his second strongest attack at Goten.
"Tch." Goten was unable to dodge the attack or use his attack to counter it.
He was hit by the attack head-on.

Back at the tournament. Everyone was in a panic after Goten and Trunks disappeared.
"Dammit Kakarrot. This is all your fault." Vegeta said as he tried to sense any kind of ki resembling Goten or Trunks.
"It's no use. Dende cannot also locate them them." Piccolo said.
"Should we gather the dragon balls?" Bulma asked.
"Gohan what is happening?" Videl asked.
"I don't know," Gohan replied to Videl.
"Brother. It seemed that something went wrong with Master Babidi's plan let's get out of here." One of the two men who also has an M on his forehead said.
The two men flew away.
Shin noticed the two leaving.
"Son Goku." He approached Goku.
"Oh. You are the Shin guy who was with Goten." Goku said as he looked at Shin.
"We don't have much time. Follow me If you want to find your son. I will explain what is happening on our way." Shin said to Goku.

The smoke cleared.
Goten emerged from the smoke.
His body was full of injuries but he was still in his perfected Super Saiyan state.
"It seems that I have to use that thing earlier than I expected. I won't be able to match him in his Super Saiyan 2 state." Goten said as he looked at Trunks.
Goten knew that the power that he currently had was not enough to survive the Majin Buu saga.
So he had prepared an emergency tool.
A pouch that contained two senzu beans inside it.
He was planning to use Zenkai Boost.
It's a natural trait that all Saiyans have that allows them to become stronger.
Whenever a Saiyan gets hurt they get stronger when their body is fully healed from the injury.
This process is called Zenkai boost.
How strong a Saiyan gets depends on how badly they are hurt.
There is a limit to Zenkai boost. At some point, the Saiyan will be unable to get a Zenkai boost when their power reaches a certain point.
Because of this most Saiyans were unable to abuse the ability although there were a few who were able to bypass the limitation.
Goten pulled out a Senzu bean put it in his mouth and ate it.
Senzu bean is a magical bean that allows the user to fully heal their body.
Not only that it also recovers their energy and fighting spirit.
Goten's power increased because of Zenkai boost after eating the Senzu bean.
However, it was still not enough to rival a Super Saiyan 2.
So he knew he had to take down Trunks with his strongest attack once in for all instead of going for the Zenaki a second time.
After all the main threat has not shown itself yet.
"Final," Goten said as he spread his hand out.
Trunks looked at him strangely. He knew that Goten become stronger after eating something but he still didn't think Goten was strong enough to damage him.
He knew Goten could hurt him when he used his full power but he was not expecting Goten to use all of his strength this fast.
After all, he looked like he just healed.
Goten started to gather all of the ki that he had in his body into his two hands.
"Flash." He said as he launched the attack at Trunks.
Trunks realized that he had to dodge the attack but he couldn't.
Trunks is powerful and fast enough that he would been able to dodge Goten's attack.
But at the last second something in his mind halted him.
The attack hit Trunks directly.
Trunks detransformed as he fell to his knee after being hit by the Final Flash.
However, Goten also used all of his ki forcing him to black out as he collapsed to the ground.
