No, something is very wrong.
He immediately moved back, his back hitting the wall, his eyes glancing at the entire room, looking at the modern medical facility, suddenly confused.
Where am I?
Where is this place?
Medical equipment never seen before... He thought to himself.
It was familiar yet unfamiliar.
He had to get out of here, Steve thought to himself as he made a beeline to the door.
Grabbing onto the familiar handles he swung the door open.
"This... what is this?"
Steve stared blankly at everything in front of him.
Countless vehicles and pedestrians, on the gorgeous and tidy streets, buildings on the street, colour screens flashing on the buildings.
Colour screen...?
Cars with weird designs.
A few pedestrians noticed Steve, a muscular man wearing simple grey pants, t-shirt and bare feet staring at everything with wide eyes.
They found this to be a little peculiar so they took out their mobile phones to take pictures.
"It's amazing isn't it?" A voice suddenly reached his ears coming from behind.
Quickly turning around ready to fight, but what he saw was a relatively muscular man, with black hair and dark blue eyes and a black rimmed glass staring at him.
"So nice to finally meet you Captain America" David said.
The people who were taking pictures quickly resumed what they were doing after capturing a few pictures going back to there normal day.
"What is all this" Steve said ready to take down David at any moment.
"This is the future, Captain" David said.
"Walk with me, let me fill you in" David said but Steve didn't budge.
"Alright then, the basics of it is, you defeated Red Skull and fell into the ice, that was around 50 years ago" David said but then immediately dodged a punch aiming at his head.
The wall he was leaning on, cracked and the dust and debris hit David face.
"Tell me what's going on, or the next punch will land on your face" Steve stated with complete seriousness.
"Look around you, Captain, World War 2 has been over for a long time" David said causing Steve to glance around at so many people going about, seemingly busy in there own worlds.
A sight in Stark difference to the period of war.
"No, this all manipulation, your Hydra!" Steve said as he grabbed David collar and pinned him against the wall, the people around had also noticed this and so they began to pull out there phones and record the scene.
David frowned hearing Steve call him a Hydra so he grabbed Steve's arm that held his collar and applied a little of his strength squeezing His hand into a state of weakness.
Steve stared wide eyed as his grip over David's collar loosened.
"Steve, it's a different era now, you are not the strongest person around anymore" David said as he let go of Steve's hand.
"Follow me and let me show you, the world" David said as he began walking.
Steve glanced at David walking away in silence his eyes glancing at his hands that were twitching in pain and then David.
His mind worked through what he should do
"He is a rude one" Venom snarled in David's mind.
"Give him a break, to him, he was just fighting an intense battle against Hydra holding the fate of the world on his shoulders and suddenly found out he had suddenly skipped 50 years and everyone he knew was probably dead" David said in his mind.
"Hmm, that's going to take a while to fully sink in for him" Venom murmured.
"I believe he has a tough mind" David said to Venom.
Steve eventually decided to catch up to David.
"What are you going to show me" Steve asked.
"Well Steve your in Times square right now" David said.
"This is not the Time square I remember" Steve added.
"Obviously it's been decades" David said with a chuckle.
"We will be going to a museum" David said as he began leading Steve towards a museum, once inside David began to move towards the Captain America section.
Steve noticed the signboard with the marking Captain America's memorial and he pointed it out to David.
"What's that"
"This is a memorial for you, A war hero, who played a huge part in essentially saving the world from Hydra" David said.
Steve didn't say anything as he quietly followed David.
There were many people around including a line of very young school students being led into the section about Captain.
Excitement filling their faces.
Talking between themselves about how awesome Captain was all of it making it's way to Steve's ears.
Stepping inside, Steve was taken aback.
Items filled the large hall all related to his history, the Howling Commandos, and his original Captain America uniform and a replica of his shield, with many mannequins of him wearing these outfits that he had once worn.
Steve stood there at a entrance, a little dumbfounded.
He could not believe his eyes.
People filled the hall and they took pictures with there phones with his shield, his suit, his military attire.
Children excitedly looking at everything.
A large Coloured TV playing a documentary of Steve's life as a weak and skinny person from the streets of Brooklyn to the beloved hero.
It's noise filling the hall somehow.
All of it assaulting Steve's mind leaving him frozen in place.
Seeing the way Steve just stood there taking everything in David couldn't help but sigh, feeling pity for Steve.
"Do you believe me now?" David asked staring at Steve.
Steve didn't respond for a while as he just stared at everything for a few minutes before his eyes slowly moved towards David.
"I don't know"
"Good enough for now" David said.
"There is a lot of things I would like to tell you, but I feel like this is enough of a shock for today" David said.
"No, tell me everything" Steve expressed himself.
David looked at the strong willed eyes of Steve and decided to say most of it.
