"Li Feng, tell her to sit still while I do this, can she?" Fu Hannan said with a cold expression.
"Li Feng, tell him he can jab however he likes, but if it hurts, I'm not responsible," Gu Yining shot back, her voice laced with sarcasm.
"Li Feng, tell her to get out! A doctor with an attitude like hers has no business treating anyone," Fu Hannan retorted, his patience fraying.
Li Feng stood there awkwardly, his head swinging between the two of them. Before he could even open his mouth to relay anything, they'd already responded to each other directly.
In this scenario, it seemed he was nothing but a redundant presence.
"Li Feng, tell him I'd love nothing more than to leave," Gu Yining huffed, then turned on her heel and walked out of the room.
As soon as she stepped out of the master bedroom, Fu Hannan vented his anger on the nearby coffee table, delivering it a forceful kick. The poor table nearly collapsed under the assault.
Li Feng swallowed hard, eyeing the now severely damaged table. His entire body tensed up, not daring to utter a single word. This ongoing battle between the young master and young madam was clearly getting out of hand.
After retreating from the room, Li Feng decided to take matters into his own hands and reached out to the old master, explaining the escalating tensions between the two. He pleaded with the old master for some strategy to defuse the situation.
The old master, ever confident, promised he had a perfect plan. "You'll see the results tomorrow," he said with a chuckle before hanging up.
Li Feng had no idea what the old master had up his sleeve, nor did he dare ask. He could only hope that whatever it was, it would work.
The following morning, just as the sun was starting to rise, a sleek black Cayenne rolled up to the Fu family estate. The car door opened, and a young woman stepped out, dressed in a flowing floral dress. She was followed by two attendants—one holding an umbrella to shield her from the sun, and the other carrying her designer handbag.
The driver then unloaded several large suitcases from the trunk and carried them into the courtyard.
The girl had a sweet and delicate appearance, yet her demeanor was spoiled and willful, like a flower that had been coddled in a greenhouse all its life.
When the housekeeper saw her approach, he immediately stepped forward to greet her. "Miss Tang, you've arrived?"
"Where's Brother Fu? Has he woken up yet?" Tang Tiantian asked, picking up her pace as she made her way into the living room.
"It's the weekend, so the young master is still asleep," the housekeeper replied with a polite smile.
"Then I'll go wake him up!" she said with a playful grin, already heading for the stairs.
"Miss Tang…" the housekeeper called after her, hesitant. It wasn't appropriate to disturb the young master, especially given his temper when waking up. He knew Fu Hannan's mood had been sour lately, likely due to his late nights. Waking him up too early would only make things worse.
But Tang Tiantian didn't care about any of that. She ignored the housekeeper's concern and quickly made her way upstairs. Reaching the master bedroom, she quietly turned the doorknob and slipped inside.
Fu Hannan lay sound asleep on the large European-style bed, his breath slow and steady. The morning light bathed his handsome features, making him look even more elegant.
Without hesitation, Tang Tiantian threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly.
In the past, she might have been more cautious, but today was different. The old master himself had given her permission to come here, so she had no reason to hold back.
"Brother Fu!" she chirped happily.
Startled by the sudden weight pressing down on him, Fu Hannan reacted instinctively. Without even opening his eyes, he kicked the intruder off the bed.
Thud!
Tang Tiantian hit the floor hard, letting out a yelp of pain.
Fu Hannan sat up, his cold eyes glaring at the woman now sprawled on the floor. "What are you doing here?" he asked, his voice sharp with irritation.
Tang Tiantian sniffled, rubbing her aching back. "Brother Fu, it's been so long since we've seen each other, and this is how you treat me? It hurts so much…" she whimpered, her tone full of grievance.
"You brought this on yourself," Fu Hannan scoffed, clearly unimpressed. He threw off the covers and stood up, heading toward the door.
Not ready to give up, Tang Tiantian scrambled to her feet, pouting as she spoke. "Grandfather asked me to come. He said you needed me, so I'm here. I'll be staying for a while. You don't mind, do you, Brother Fu?"
"Of course I mind. Get out!" Fu Hannan's temper flared as he yanked the door open, fully intending to throw her out of the room.
Tang Tiantian had made a grave mistake by waking him from his sleep. That alone was enough to put her on thin ice.
