"Conan... Hey Conan, wake up already!"
called an unknown voice.
"Wake up now!"
the unknown voice repeated.
Conan: "System installation beginning."

Conan finally opened his eyes.
"Identification scan activated," said the robotic voice from within Conan.
The unknown figure with brown hair stepped closer to Conan.
Suddenly, a green scan appeared, identifying the stranger.
€&%$*¥#%
"Scan successfully completed."
The unknown person sighed impatiently, glancing around.
"Pleased to meet you... Sir Eugene... Master Eugene."
"Just Eugene," he replied, putting his junk back into his rusty metal cabinets.
"Understood, Eugene."
Conan was a patched-together robot made from various old metal plates scavenged from a junkyard.
Eugene stared intently at Conan for a moment, feeling like he had forgotten something.
He inspected the robot and took a closer look.
Conan analyzed Eugene and noticed something was missing.
"Eugene, you forgot to install the chip in me."
Eugene suddenly remembered and pulled the chip out of his pocket.
"Take it and plug it in yourself," Eugene replied, with a hint of double meaning.
"Damn smartass," Eugene thought.
"Understood, Eugene," said Conan, inserting the chip into the tungsten plate on his head.

"The chip has been successfully activated."
...
On Earth, humans had developed various chips to give robots or cyborgs different talents and abilities.
Eugene's chip provided the robot with technical knowledge, allowing it to upgrade or repair itself when damaged or when better parts were found.
Eugene lived in a remote place in Brush Creek, Tennessee.
In 2040, robots began to develop emotions, which triggered a robot virus. They declared war on humanity and gained the upper hand on September 16, 2041.
After winning the war, robots enslaved humans. While robots could handle almost everything, they lacked the finesse and dexterity that only humans possessed.
At 26, Eugene was a robot specialist, working on robots in isolated locations. He had a hidden workshop where he experimented on them.
He was trying to create a robot capable of "healing" the rogue robots.
...
Conan scanned his master's body again, as robots store all human data in their memory. During the scan, Conan noticed that Eugene was a man with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and an average nose.
He wasn't particularly handsome or tall, standing at 1.70 meters with a high forehead.
He wore a black coat with a brown belt. At the moment, he was dressed in a white button-up shirt and ordinary sweatpants.
As Eugene opened the door to step outside, he said to his robot, "Hey, grab my cigarettes, you idiot."
Conan immediately brought his cigarettes to his master and replied to the insult, "I am a robot. Only my creator can be an 'idiot'."
Eugene glared at his cheap robot, considering shutting it down.
...
Eugene left the house and immediately lit a Marlboro Red.
He scanned his surroundings, searching for combat robots. Finding none nearby, he resumed smoking.
The area had almost no trees left, as the robots had destroyed everything years ago.
There were no flowers or fields in sight.
The ground was rocky.
"How could they," Eugene thought grimly.
