Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

After leaving Sasuke's house, Toshi and Naruto made their way back to school together.

At noon, Toshi returned home and decided to test out the system's god-level cooking skills. He quickly whipped up a simple but fragrant bowl of golden egg fried rice with ham, diced carrots, and chopped green onions, accompanied by a plate of kimchi. The aroma alone made his mouth water.

Taking a bite, he was stunned. "Did I really make this?" The taste was beyond his expectations, far surpassing a simple egg fried rice dish.

"With this god-level cooking skill, I won't have to worry about food anymore, and maybe I can even make some friends through food!" He chuckled at the thought, realizing how valuable this skill truly was.

After a short lunch break, Toshi headed back to school. When the day ended, he left the school with Naruto. As they were walking, a group of men dressed in black appeared, blocking their way.

"Lord Danzo wants to see you," one of the men said coldly.

"Who's Danzo?" Naruto asked, confused.

"Konoha's Hokage's assistant," Ikeno thought to himself, instantly realizing the situation. Was this an attempt to recruit him, or something far more sinister?

When Ikeno ignored them, the man in black became more forceful. "Lord Danzo wants to see you," he repeated, more insistent this time.

"Tell him to wait, I'm busy today," Ikeno responded sharply, surprising Naruto, who admired his courage. "Let's go, Naruto," Ikeno said as they began to walk away.

But the men in black didn't take no for an answer. One of them reached out to grab Ikeno. "These guys are here for more than a casual meeting," he thought, realizing they were likely sent to eliminate him.

With a quick burst of strange power, Ikeno knocked the man back with a punch so strong it sent him flying. The man rolled across the ground before coming to a stop, coughing up blood and dying from internal injuries.

Ikeno turned to the remaining ninjas, his voice cold. "You came here for an assassination, didn't you? Then let's get this over with."

The men in black hesitated, shocked by his display of strength. But they were emotionless, trained for missions like this. The leader gave the order to attack.

"Whoosh, whoosh!"

The remaining assassins charged at him with their katanas raised, aiming for his throat. But just before the blades struck, a protective bone armor formed over Ikeno's body, deflecting the attack with a loud clash. The swords shattered upon impact.

"Bone armor… finally activated on its own!" Ikeno thought with satisfaction.

Wasting no time, he used the Body Flicker Technique to evade another strike, appearing behind one of the attackers. He grabbed the ninja by the throat, and with a burst of chakra, kicked him with such force that the man's lower body was crushed, and he died instantly.

Despite the loss of two comrades, the remaining assassins showed no fear.

Suddenly, a kunai flew through the air from the jungle, disarming several of the assassins and sending their kunai clattering to the ground. All eyes turned towards the source of the attack.

Out of the shadows stepped a man with white hair, a mask covering his face, and a forehead protector over his left eye. His visible eye had a lazy, yet sharp, gaze.

"Hatake Kakashi!" Ikeno thought, surprised by his sudden appearance.

"Don't worry, I'm here to protect you," Kakashi said calmly.

Ikeno was confused but soon understood. "It must have been the Third Hokage who sent him," he realized.

With Kakashi now joining the fray, the tide of battle shifted. The assassins, realizing they were outmatched, split into two groups—half attacking Kakashi, the other half going after Ikeno.

"Dance of Karamatsu!"

"Dance of the Camellia!"

Ikeno unleashed his Dead Bone Pulse techniques, effortlessly countering the attackers. His bone sword clashed with the katanas, sparks flying from each strike. He moved swiftly, piercing through one enemy's throat with his bone spurs, killing him instantly.

The remaining assassins fought with precision, but they were no match for Ikeno's speed and power. His bone sword sliced through another opponent's eye, the blade exiting through the back of the assassin's head in a gruesome spray of blood and brain matter.

With only three left, Ikeno's attacks became faster and more ferocious. His bone sword became a blur, piercing through vital points with deadly accuracy.

"Boom!"

At that moment, Ikeno remembered the system's mission—to shock the enemy.

"Have I not shocked them enough yet? Where's my reward?" he thought, frustrated by the lack of feedback from the system.
