After Xiao Wu comforted her, Ning Rongrong felt reassured. Yes, as long as Su Ming was around, everything would be fine!
It was because of Su Ming that she had the power she now possessed.
Feeling her exhaustion fade, Ning Rongrong's mischievous nature stirred once again.
"Xiao Wu, why didn't Su Ming write in his diary last night?" Ning Rongrong asked, blinking playfully at Xiao Wu.
Xiao Wu's face froze for a moment, her eyes darting around nervously. "Maybe... Su Ming-gege forgot? Or maybe he was just too tired yesterday."
Ning Rongrong listened as Xiao Wu rambled through her guesses, all while keeping a knowing smile on her face. Do you think I'm that gullible? She clearly remembered why Su Ming hadn't written in his diary the first time.
"Oh~" Ning Rongrong just stared at Xiao Wu with a grin, waiting for her to slip up.
Zhu Zhuqing, watching from the side, couldn't help but think, Rongrong, you're going to pay for this one day!
Ning Rongrong, however, was having too much fun teasing Xiao Wu to stop. Whether it was a new habit or just her mischievous nature coming to the surface, every time she teased Xiao Wu, she felt a thrill!
"Xiao Wu, are you sure Su Ming not writing in his diary has nothing to do with you?"
"Of course not!" Xiao Wu blushed and quickly denied it. She would never admit what had happened the previous night—not in a million years! The embarrassment would be too much to bear.
And besides, Su Ming-gege had introduced her to... new experiences last night—things that were so mortifying that she would never speak of them to anyone.
"Okay, okay. If you say so. But as your closest roommates, Zhuqing and I can just... keep our thoughts to ourselves," Ning Rongrong said with a teasing smile, making it seem like she was letting the subject drop.
Xiao Wu let out a sigh of relief, feeling the tension ease.
Zhu Zhuqing glanced at Ning Rongrong in surprise. This wasn't like her. Zhuqing had thought for sure that Rongrong would push Xiao Wu until she spilled everything.
Ning Rongrong saw Xiao Wu relax and smiled mischievously before continuing, "But Xiao Wu, do you think Su Ming might write in his diary tonight about why he didn't write yesterday? Or maybe what he was doing last night?"
That's right!
Xiao Wu's heart suddenly started racing again as she gave Ning Rongrong a pitiful look. "Rongrong, you're such a devil!"
"Ahahaha!" Ning Rongrong clutched her stomach, laughing so hard that tears streamed from her eyes.
"Ahh! Rongrong, you're so mean! You're driving me crazy!" Xiao Wu, frustrated, lunged at Ning Rongrong, tickling her sides in retaliation.
"I give up! I give up! I'm sorry, Xiao Wu! Stop! It tickles!" Ning Rongrong begged for mercy as she squirmed in laughter.
Zhu Zhuqing shook her head and was about to leave to start her own training when a hand suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her into the fun.
"You're not getting off that easily, Zhuqing! Join us!" Ning Rongrong laughed, dragging her into the playful scuffle.
Meanwhile, back at the dorms, Su Ming was taking a well-deserved bath to relax. After staying up all night and then spending the day training Ning Rongrong, he was feeling quite tired.
But during the training, Su Ming had made sure to teach Ning Rongrong hands-on, guiding her step by step to help her master Ling Bo Wei Bu. This, of course, led to unavoidable physical contact between them.
And Su Ming couldn't help but notice—Ning Rongrong was really soft and smelled amazing. Was that how all girls were?
This little perk was one of the reasons he could keep going, despite the exhaustion. It was tough but rewarding.
Though, after spending the night with Xiao Wu and a whole day with Rongrong, Su Ming began to feel a bit guilty. Am I becoming a scoundrel?
But then he shook his head, reasoning with himself. No, this isn't being a scoundrel. I care about both of them, and I'm not forcing anything. I just want to give the girls I love a home on this continent.
With that, Su Ming successfully convinced himself. Once, he had been a pure-hearted boy, but after his experiences, he finally understood why couples existed!
After settling his thoughts, Su Ming decided it was time to catch up on his diary. He had missed out on a reward yesterday, but he didn't regret it—not one bit.
[Diary Entry] "Last night, Xiao Wu came to my room, and we trained together. I activated 'Susanoo,' and she practiced her leg techniques, so I didn't write in my diary. But I don't regret it at all—what's a little reward compared to helping Xiao Wu perfect her kicks?"
"Rewards can come any day, but the chance to train one-on-one with Xiao Wu doesn't come every day. I had her try out all her leg techniques. Good thing Xiao Wu is so flexible; otherwise, some of those moves would've been impossible to pull off. Her agility thanks to Waist Bow is astounding!"
Xiao Wu: ...
Xiao Wu's face flushed red as she read the entry, feeling like she might cry from embarrassment. Another massive public humiliation! Now everyone would know, without her even having to say a word!
The other women reading the diary: Su Ming, you're really something, aren't you? For your own selfish desires, you skipped a diary entry! Do you realize that every entry you miss lowers our chances of receiving a reward?
Because Su Ming hadn't written the previous night, their soul power rewards had been delayed by a whole day. Su Ming might have been enjoying himself, but the women were not happy about it.
To them, the guaranteed rewards from reading the diary were crucial. They weren't allowed to see Su Ming whenever they wanted, so the diary was their only source of consistent progress. Now, thanks to him, that progress had been delayed!
However, Xiao Wu didn't care about that at all. She was the one closest to Su Ming, and she received the most rewards, so a little soul power increase didn't matter to her.
Still, under the scrutinizing stares of Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing, Xiao Wu felt uncomfortable. She leapt onto her bed, buried herself under the covers, and decided to ignore the world for a while.
Xiao Wu: Su Ming-gege, you bad guy! Just wait—next time, I'll make you beg for mercy!
Of course, she wasn't talking about actual combat—she knew she couldn't beat Su Ming in a fight. But she was confident she could make him plead for mercy in... other ways. After all, she had her own natural advantages!
