The three exchanged glances and smiled helplessly. They hadn't realized before how protective Rongrong could be, even though she had only just officially confirmed her relationship with Su Ming.
What they didn't know was that the relationship between Su Ming and Ning Rongrong had been a gradual process. By the time they confirmed their relationship, it was only a formality.
Ning Fengzhi chuckled, "Alright, we've seen firsthand that Su Ming has the strength to back up his words, so we won't oppose you two being together. As long as you, Rongrong, don't feel wronged, that's all that matters."

Hearing this, Ning Rongrong pouted. "Father, what do you mean by that? Since Su Ming is with me, you're my shield, and naturally, his as well!"
Ning Fengzhi shook his head with a smile. "You silly child, of course, if Su Ming is ever in danger, we'll help him. But supporting him fully is different from just helping."
Ning Rongrong couldn't quite grasp the difference, thinking that her father and the two elders were already the clan's greatest assets. If something happened, who else could really help Su Ming? She decided not to dwell on it.
