Emerald eyes fluttered open, only to close again at the brightness. A small hiss leaving their owner's lips as a tanned hand shielded their eyes, sitting up from what seemed to be an egyptian chaise couch.

Upon adjusting their eyes to the new light, they curiously scanned their surroundings.

Cobblestone walls that appeared ancient on the verge of collapse, stained glass windows dirty with cracks and aged moss with overgrown vines coating the walls. Rubble and dust bunnies coating every nook and cranny, bearing cobwebs of many. The interior was bare and ruined apart from the sole piece of furniture which he laid upon, perched on at the top of a cracked and mossy cobble staircase with a long red carpet that had long passed its glory days, running from where he laid to two large metal doors embedded with a golden design.

The being's analysing gaze swept across the ruin and couldn't help but wonder if they were sent to the wrong location. As the doubts and mild confusion came, his queries were interpreted by a metallic voice.

[ Transfer Complete! God successfully transported to 'Holy Temple'.  ]

[ Checking for errors . . . ]

[ No errors found. Proceeding to unlock [System Functions] . . . . ]

The person couldn't help but raise a brow at the holographic screen before him. This was their supposed 'Holy Temple'? This was similar to a run-down church at most, abandoned for years.

[ System Function 'Status' Unlocked! ]

[ System Function 'Inventory' Unlocked!]

[ System Function 'Chat' Unlocked! ]

[ Item 'Beginner Pack' Received!]

[ Item 'Welcome Pack' Received! ]

The being calmly swiped away the messages, going to the 'Chat' function.

A digital screen displayed before them with active speakers already within discussion. The current functions of 'Chat' available were 'Region', the others blanked out.

Clicking the icon, a series of messages were being sent through the chat. Seems most of the individuals were awake.

Entity001378: Hello fellow gods!

Entity1286044: Hello!

Entity333689: To think we actually ascended! We've passed the life of mortals!

Entity228861: But aren't our temples too shabby? Mine looks like it will collapse at any moment!

Entity888467: right right! My temple is complete rubbish!

Entity009863: you guys have temples…? I have a single shrine to my name half buried in moss!

Entity2190600: You think you have it rough? I have a single statue with its head missing! It's a bad omen!

Entity884670: for real?

Entity228861: my condolences

Entity333689: You know what, the temple doesn't seem that bad anymore. I atleast have a roof over my head.

After a few seconds of scrolling the chat for any information, he closed the screen.

'Ah right. I almost forgot why I'm here.' he thought as he focused on the situation at hand. "Status."

Aaldir observed the translucent holographic square before him, studying the information before him. His brow raised slightly as he observed his talents. Why was one obscured? He clicked it, wondering if it was simply an error until a red translucent square appeared.

[ You have not yet met the requirements ]

"Oh?" Aaldir stared at the message for a few moments. Requirements? He wondered what the requirements to unlock the talent were, but the message said no more. He'll just have to see in the future. For now, he should gain some inventory.

"Open Beginner Pack."

Aaldir raised a brow at that. He had yet to look at the functions of his skills. He never expected them to activate so early on.

Hm? Aaldir stared at the loading screen before him, curiosity piqued at 'additional rewards'.

Aaldir stood there for a solid minute, staring at the list of notifications, unsure whether he was dreaming or if reality was before him. He rubbed his eyes, maybe he was still waking up from the transfer?

He checked again. Nope, his eyes did not deceive him. Hah…

"WHAT IN THE NAME OF NERVADA?!"
