"My name is Kael," he said, holding up a knife covered in glowing runes.
"Is that supposed to mean soemthing to me?"
"It will soon. You see, Grayheart is ripe for the taking," he began, gesturing as if the city was already his.
"A city of wealth, power, and influence—guarded by an old family too busy scheming against one another to see the blade at their throats."
"An old family is an interesting way of callimg the strongest organization in human history." I chuckled.
He turned to me, his grin widening.
"But you know that, don't you? The Grays… all their squabbles and secrets. The great beasts that think themselves untouchable."
He leaned closer, lowering his voice.
"But even the strongest creature falls when you strike at its reverse scale. And Grayheart's reverse scale is its people."
Kael spun on his heel, gesturing to his followers.
