Chapter 7 - Familliar Mana

The feeling of my physical stat doubling in an instant was amazing. Energy flowed into every single part of my body and strengthened it thoroughly, from my cells to my bones, every single shred of my being was perfected.

My strength had reached the four-ton level already and I rivaled a 2⭐️ combatant or a D-Rank hunter in terms of physical strength.

'Wow, that's intoxicating!'

"Time for [Magical Mastery], Young master," Marc reminded me. From his expression, my actions seemed strange but he felt it wasn't his place to ask.

"Right, let's not be late."

We passed by the house, so I could change clothes and then I headed to the hall where the [Magic Mastery] class was held.

I arrived and found three students ahead of me, all of the 'Divine' bloodline of the Gray family. The instructor hadn't arrived yet, so I greeted the other students.

"Hey, we haven't met, I'm John." I wasn't sure how the higher-class people exchanged greetings, so I just did my best not to come as awkward.

"*Sigh* You ought to bow when greeting one of the family's divine blood." The short lanky one said.

"Just look at him brother, he's got the beauty of the elves and the size of the ancient ones, he's as 'Divine' as we are!" The woman chuckled. Her beauty was beyond anything I had ever seen, like the purest of gems and the brightest of sunrises.

"A roundabout way of calling me tall and handsome," I extended my hand.

"Just an observation. I'm Jean Gray." She chuckled.

I took her hand and planted a kiss of greeting swiftly.

I was once an international casanova, so women were no foreign subject to me. The greatest spy in history, Jack Jones never failed to seduce.

The Aura around her didn't allow me to look for long, however, so I retreated my gaze, unsatisfied.

"True, his mother was only a quarter earthling after all, and mostly a High-Elf, though it appears he got the curse even from that tiny amount of lesser blood. Liam Gray," The short lanky one finally shook my hand.

"You know of my mother?"

"Only her origin as I've just stated, nothing else is known."

I extended my hand to the last one, he was taller than the rest with his long blue hair extending down to his back, his eyes were cold, and his every movement was controlled and elegant. He had a sword on his back one hanging from his waist and white gloves covering his hands.

"You are?" I shook his hand, and he narrowed his eyes.

"Apex-Rank Aura Core. Interesting. I'm Astal Gray." He spoke confidently but in short sentences as if he didn't wish to waste words.

The other two's eyes snapped towards me, they were filled with envy and shock. The Apex-Rank Aura Core clearly held a special meaning to the [Divine Bloodline].

"As expected of the son of Algharmain." He added.

"We'll start right away!" The instructor appeared out of thin air, a short old man in a robe with a staff double his height in his hand.

He waved his staff and two books floated in front of each student.

"Those are the [Mana Circle Formation] and [Essential Spells], this first class will pertain to the formation of a Mana Circle." He started a long rant about the concepts of magic and the formation of a core.

[What the heart desires, it takes!]

[You have gained a new skill from [Divine Child: Jean Gray], [Dragon Heart]: The blessing of a child of Mana.]

'Perfect timing!'

I sat down crosslegged and focused, in an instant, my first Mana Circle formed and the surrounding Mana flooded into my heart.

"Amazing! Young master John has formed his first circle in minutes!" The instructor was shocked.

Jean sat down on the ground and within moments, she managed to do the same.

"Young Lady Jean as well! This generation of successors is blessed!"

'So unless it's revenge, I'm just copying skills?'

I suddenly felt something strange as my Mana circle spun intensely. My Mana was at least double what the teacher described and it was crimson.

'This! The nature of my Mana from my second life is still there?!'

I chanted slightly and used a basic spell I had created.

"[Blood Thunder]!"

A small bolt of crimson lightning formed and danced in my palm.

"Crimson Mana? And that lightning, Innate Magic?!" The instructor observed closely.

Innate magic was born with the user, a spell hidden in the blood of a blessed child of Mana. Of course, what I had was different, but there was no way the teacher would know I was once a Mage on the edge of ascension, murdered by a jealous poison god.

"You beat me to it, and they said I was a monster. I'm sad now, take responsibility," Jean chuckled.

"Nothing a drink can't fix," I replied.

"I'll think about it." She smiled.

The instructor let me leave, and I made my way home until it was time for my next class, [Stealth Mastery].

Unlike the other classes, it was set in an outdoor space and only started after sundown. The instructor wasn't there yet, so I sat down with the other students in the darkness.

"Let's begin. Master the manuals you've been given and perform the footwork and then you can go home."

Three books were placed in front of me.

[Gray Shadow Art], [Gray Assassin's Blade], and [Gray Assassin's Footwork].

I quickly memorized all of the manuals and began my first attempt at applying their method. The footwork completely eliminated the body's sounds and allowed for an extremely fast movement speed, the blade allowed for vital, deadly attacks and the shadow art allowed for complete disappearance and stealth.

'It's going to be fun for a while…'
