"You did it?!" The instructor was beyond surprised, even though his entire body was covered by a dark veil, the fluctuations of his energy still showed his shock.
"Yes, now what's my reward?" I was excited.
The instructor didn't say anything and unsheathed two long daggers.
"Really?"
I picked up a sword and prepared. The instructor didn't move and just stood still.
*BOOM!*
A dagger struck my right shoulder. The instructor had not once moved any part of his body.
"How?"
"Win and you'll learn." He replied.
I focused and took on a defensive stance. In my eyes, I left no openings and could not be attacked.
*BOOM!* *BOOM!*
Though the instructor lacked strength in his blunt attacks to hurt me too greatly, if he had a real weapon I would have been dead in an instant.
*BOOM!*
The attacks felt endless, every time I tried to dodge or block, an attack would come from some impossible direction and hurt me.
There was only one choice, something no one else could have thought up.
In one of my missions on earth in my first life, my teammate and direct subordinate were caught by the enemy. I offered an exchange, the legendary Jack Jones for a newbie, it seemed obvious to the enemy. Their leader personally disarmed me and pointed a gun at my head from behind as he held me in a headlock. My second pistol hung from a hidden spot in my suit.
They laughed and taunted after releasing my subordinate, they described how they were going to torture me and were beyond shocked when I pulled out my gun, and in one instant shot myself through the ribs to hit the leader behind me and then turned to use him as body shield before shooting the rest in the head.
"[Return Of The Blood Dragon]!" I chanted the spell and a crimson sphere appeared above us.
Instantly a crimson dragon of blood thunder rushed out and struck down like a meteor.
*BOOOOOM!!*
Debris flew everywhere and the outcome was unclear for a bit.
"*Cough* *Cough* a-a s-suicide attack?! Can't you just be a normal human and use a normal method?" The instructor struggled to get up off the ground.
I wasn't unharmed but I took far less damage because I knew it was coming.
{Security Clearance Raised To Lvl 5!}
"My loss!" The instructor threw me a tattered scroll.
"Status."
The system panel materialized:

"A truly solid status!"
I went home satisfied with the day and laid down for some well-earned sleep after a nice dinner.
AN HOUR BEFORE DAWN
I sensed a presence rushing towards me and got up quickly from my bed.
"Young master! It's a fire! The Ville is on fire!" Marc ran into the room in a panic.
I didn't even grab any clothes and ran out. Fire and smoke intertwined everywhere, the staff shouted and the guards attempted to calm them to no avail.
"Young master Alexander is in danger!" A voice reached my ears.
'Fuck!' I leaped out of my front yard and headed for Alexander's house in a rush.
As my source of booze and information and one of the few people I respected inside the Ville, he had to survive.
The fire was brightest around his mansion as if it were the source. In the front yard, his maid and knight were passed out from the smoke, I spotted some water near them.
'He used his Water magic to save them, did he go back in for something?'
"S-save y-young master…a-assassins!" His knight suddenly grabbed my ankle.
'I knew it was going to be another mess!'
"Don't worry, while I draw breath, he won't die!"
I covered myself in a veil of the [Gray Winter] and leaped into the flames. In the charred remains of the front part of the mansion, I couldn't spot anything.
I made my way to the bedroom and didn't find any trace of Alexander, only a burned assassin's corpse.
'How strange, he drowned to death?'
I spread my Mana to check the room and spotted a trap door in the corner, by pulling it open I found a set of stairs that led underground.
On the path, I saw many corpses, burned on the outside but dead by drowning. The path ended at a small door.
'I have a bad feeling, I'm getting myself into another mess..'
I pushed the door open and walked in. A dozen assassins surrounded Alexander but he barely blocked them with a Mana Shield.
They sensed me and looked back in shock.
"It's Subject X, RUN!" Their leader shouted and they sprung out through the door behind Alexander.
"You let them escape? I thought you were faster," Alexander chuckled, blood dripping from his nose and mouth.
"They'll die, no matter how far they run. This is the Ville after all. More importantly, you're hurt."
I crouched down near him. His left arm was gone from the elbow down and his left eye had a deep cut going down it.
"I'm going to die aren't I?" He asked me after seeing my concerned expression.
"Not while I'm here,"
I held out both of my hands and gathered Mana in one palm and Aura in the other.
'I hoped I wouldn't need it in this life…'
In the exact middle point of a field where Mana mixed with Aura, there was a white glow. Of course, no one could use it until Damian Black was born.
"TO EVERY STAR IN THE NIGHT SKY, I BECKON, BY MY BIRTH RIGHT AS DAMIAN BLACK, THE DIVINE HEALER, I DEMAND OF YOU ALL RESPONSE! BY SYLF THE WHITE DRAGON AND GAMORA THE SILVER SKY, SIGNED A MILLENNIUM AGO. I DECLARE THEE, FOREVERMORE, UNDER MY DOMINION, PRANA!"
