Chapter 74 - A G.O.D?

The chapter begins after a time skip of four years. Mori, who has undergone some changes, is shown on King Kai's planet, sparring intensely with Goku. Mori's once long, spiky brown hair has been trimmed, now barely reaching his eyes. He is wearing a sleeveless black and gold gi, with King Kai's kanji on the back and left chest, and black training boots. His once smaller dragon tattoo has grown significantly, wrapping around his entire left arm and extending onto his hand.

As they spar, the atmosphere crackles with energy, each strike from the two sending shockwaves across King Kai's small planet. Mori, using precise, powerful movements, meets Goku's relentless barrage of attacks head-on, their fists and kicks colliding with ferocious intensity. They're both laughing as they exchange blows, clearly enjoying the challenge. But their sparring session is abruptly interrupted when King Kai runs out of his house in a panic, waving his arms frantically.

"Get inside, now! Don't come out unless I say so!" King Kai shouts, looking more distressed than usual.

Mori and Goku exchange puzzled glances but shrug, lowering their energy as they float down and head into King Kai's house. "What's got him all worked up?" Goku asks with a grin, but Mori just shrugs, feeling something off.

They hide inside, but only a few seconds pass before they see a bright flash of light touch down on King Kai's planet. Peering through the small window of the house, Mori and Goku spot a tall, slender, blue-skinned figure with a staff in hand and a blue halo around his neck. His attire is strange, regal, and elegant.

"Is that why King Kai made us hide?" Goku whispers, watching the figure intently.

Mori shakes his head, staring at the mysterious figure. "No… he doesn't seem all that bad."

Before they can say more, King Kai begins speaking to the visitor, though Mori and Goku can't hear what's being said. As King Kai talks, another figure steps out from behind the blue man—this one looking like a purple, humanoid cat with piercing yellow eyes and dressed in similarly strange clothing. He carries an air of authority, his gaze sharp and critical as it surveys the surroundings.

Mori narrows his eyes as he watches the exchange. Something about this cat-like figure feels… familiar. His thoughts are interrupted when the purple cat points directly toward where they're hiding. King Kai yells out, "You can come out now!" Mori and Goku exchange another glance before stepping out of the house.

King Kai, clearly nervous, quickly introduces the two. "Lord Beerus, the one in the black and gold gi is a human from Earth known as Mori, or commonly called StarScourge Mori by the people of the North Galaxy. And the one in the orange gi is Son Goku, a Saiyan, one of the last of his kind."

Mori's eyes widen slightly at the name. Lord Beerus… The name rings a bell, but he can't place it. He snaps out of his thoughts as Beerus mutters, "StarScourge, huh?" before turning his attention to Goku.

"Saiyan," Beerus says, his tone commanding. "Are you perhaps the Super Saiyan God?"

Goku looks at Mori, then back at Beerus, scratching his head. "Super Saiyan God? I don't know anything about that. But I do have Super Saiyan and some other forms of it."

Beerus hums thoughtfully before saying, "Show me."

Goku powers up, transforming into Super Saiyan, then quickly progressing through his other forms—Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3. As his hair flares into golden spikes and his power surges, Goku looks at Mori and says, "Although I have these forms that boost my strength, my brother here is just as strong as me, maybe even stronger, and he's a human."

Mori smiles slightly at the compliment, but his smile fades when Beerus speaks again, his tone flat but with a hint of amusement. "Why don't the two of you fight me?"

Goku's eyes light up with excitement. "Really? You mean it?"

Mori, on the other hand, is stunned. "I'm sorry, what? You want us to fight you? A God of Destruction?"

Beerus nods casually. "That's right. Both of you, come at me."

Mori and Goku exchange a glance. Goku looks eager, but Mori sighs, resigned to the challenge. "Alright," Mori mutters before powering up to full strength, though he holds back his Dovahkiin energy for now.

The fight begins, and both Goku and Mori rush at Beerus, their forms blurring as they move at lightning speed. They teleport in and out, appearing and disappearing around Beerus, trying to confuse him with coordinated attacks. Goku swings at Beerus from the left while Mori strikes from the right, their fists aimed directly at the god.

But Beerus is unimpressed. With a single swift chop to the neck, he knocks Goku unconscious, sending him crashing to the ground.

Mori watches, wide-eyed, as Goku falls. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he unleashes his Dovahkiin energy, his aura intensifying and shifting as ancient power courses through him. The shift catches Beerus off guard—he recognizes the energy but doesn't show it.

Despite his enhanced strength, Mori still finds himself unable to land a hit. Beerus dodges every strike with ease, as though Mori's boosted power is still nothing to him. After a few more attempts, Beerus casually taps Mori on the forehead, knocking him unconscious as well.

With both warriors defeated, Beerus returns to the blue figure, Whis, as they prepare to leave. As they fly off, Beerus mutters, "Not bad… but they're still not quite what I'm looking for."

The chapter ends with Mori and Goku lying unconscious on King Kai's planet.
