Chapter 49 - Seed?

The next chapter begins with the Z-fighters and Shin arriving at a rocky plateau overlooking what appears to be Babidi's ship embedded in the ground. They remain hidden, watching the sinister activity below. The entrance of the ship is guarded by two figures, Spopovich and Yamu—the men who attacked Gohan earlier. Mori, along with the others, observes as they land in front of the ship's entrance. There's a palpable tension in the air as the group anticipates what comes next.

An alien servant of Babidi appears, exchanging a few words with Spopovich and Yamu before retreating back into the ship. A few moments later, Babidi himself emerges, flanked by the towering and menacing Dabura. The mere presence of Dabura, the King of the Demon Realm, sends chills down Shin's spine.

Shin's voice trembles slightly as he explains, "That's Babidi, the sorcerer trying to awaken Majin Buu… and that… is Dabura, King of the Demon Realm. If Buu is revived, even with all of us here, our chances of stopping him are slim… near impossible."

Mori, standing near the edge of the rocky overlook, his arms crossed, responds confidently, "Then we need to end this, now, before it even gets that far."

Shin looks at Mori, impressed by his resolve but unsure of how they should proceed. Before the conversation can continue, Babidi, with a cruel smirk, raises his hand. Spopovich and Yamu, having served their purpose, are killed in an instant. Their lifeless bodies hit the ground as Babidi and Dabura turn to reenter the ship.

Mori, his eyes narrowing, says quietly, "That bastard didn't even flinch…." He clenches his fists, his aura flaring slightly as the tension rises within him. But just as Babidi and Dabura are about to disappear into the ship, Dabura pauses. His glowing red eyes scan the horizon until they lock onto the plateau where the group is hiding.

In a split second, Dabura rockets towards them with incredible speed. His murderous intent is clear, and the Z-fighters brace themselves for the attack. However, before anyone can react, Mori vanishes, using his Time-Skip technique to appear directly in front of Dabura mid-air. With a powerful spinning kick, Mori sends Dabura crashing into the ground far below, creating a deep crater.

From the group's perspective, Mori's movement is so fast that even Shin and Kibito are left speechless. One moment he's beside them, and the next, he's at the base of the ship, standing over a downed Dabura. Vegeta, ever the fighter, smirks in approval. "That's Mori for you. His technique is something else."

As Mori stands over Dabura, analyzing his energy, he quickly realizes something important. "His power… it's not even close to Cell's full strength," Mori thinks, slightly disappointed. "Anyone here who can transform could finish him off."

Deciding to end the fight before it even begins, Mori raises his hand, charging a concentrated ball of ki. The energy swells in his palm as he points it directly at the downed Dabura, prepared to eliminate Babidi's strongest warrior in one strike.

Dabura, lying on the ground, feels a cold sweat trickle down his spine. His eyes widen in disbelief as he stares up at the human before him—this warrior is far stronger than he expected, and his life is about to end. But just as Mori is about to unleash his attack, a blur of motion streaks across the battlefield.

With a sudden force, Mori is knocked away by a powerful impact. He tumbles across the rocky landscape before catching himself mid-air, stabilizing with a burst of energy. "What the hell was that?!" Mori shouts, regaining his footing and looking around for the source of the blow.

From the Z-fighters' vantage point, Goku, Vegeta, and the others are equally stunned. Goku's brow furrows. "What was that? I didn't even see it."

Shin, equally perplexed, looks around frantically. "Something just hit Mori… but what?"

Vegeta, narrowing his eyes, tries to locate the mysterious assailant. "Whatever it was, it was fast. Faster than I expected."

Gohan, concerned for his uncle, shouts, "Uncle Mori!" as he watches the scene unfold.

The scene then cuts to Elec, moments earlier. He's flying high above the Earth, searching for the source of the ki that resonates within him. For weeks, Elec has been traveling across the stars, tracing the energy signature that he now knows is linked to his very existence. As he soars through the skies, something causes him to stop abruptly—a surge of familiar energy flares to life beneath him.

"That ki… it's unmistakable. It's the same as mine," Elec mutters, his eyes narrowing. "He's here. I've found him." Without hesitation, Elec changes course and rockets toward the location of Mori's ki, his body moving at incredible speeds.

Within minutes, Elec arrives, hovering high above the battlefield. He surveys the scene, seeing two groups of people—one standing on a cliff, watching from a distance, and the other engaged in combat near what appears to be a ship. It's the latter group that interests him, specifically the man who is preparing to fire a ki blast at the fallen Dabura.

"That's him… the source of my power," Elec says to himself, his eyes fixating on Mori. "But I have to be sure." Without further thought, Elec charges downwards, using his top speed to slam into Mori, sending him flying away from Dabura.

Now, back to Mori's POV, Mori dusts himself off and rises to his feet, his eyes locking onto the newcomer. It's a humanoid figure—tall, muscular, and bearing a striking resemblance to Cell, though slightly different in form. Mori's mind races. "Cell? No… this isn't him. But he feels familiar… what is he?"

The figure steps forward, his expression calm and composed. "My name is Elec," he says, his voice deep and firm. "You created me, Starscourge Mori. The ki you released in your battle against my past self—Cell—was the catalyst for my birth. I've been searching for you ever since, and now that I've found you, I must know if you're as strong as they say."

Mori raises an eyebrow, a smirk forming on his face. "So you're the result of that battle, huh? Interesting. But right now isn't exactly the best time, buddy. I've got a planet to save."

Elec's expression doesn't change, but there's a clear hint of frustration in his tone. "I've searched for months. Traveled across countless planets. And now that I've finally found you, you want me to wait?"

Mori laughs lightly, sensing the absurdity of the situation. "Yeah, bad timing, man. You should've shown up sooner."

Elec blinks, clearly thrown off by Mori's nonchalant attitude. "…Seriously?"

Mori, still chuckling, motions toward the ship and the others. "Look, we've got this whole 'saving the world from doom' thing going on. You might've heard of it. But hey, if you really want to fight, let's get this over with. The Saiyans can handle the rest."

Vegeta, overhearing, scoffs but doesn't protest as he and the rest of the Z-fighters head toward Babidi's ship. "He's got a point," Vegeta mutters. "We don't have time for distractions."

As the group moves toward the entrance, Elec's expression shifts to one of anticipation. He drops into a familiar battle stance, one reminiscent of Cell's own fighting style. "Finally," Elec says, his voice tinged with excitement. "Let's see if you live up to the legend."

He rushes forward, throwing a powerful punch at Mori. Mori, calm and composed, blocks the attack effortlessly. "Strong punch," he remarks. "But no technique."

In an instant, Mori counters with a swift kick to Elec's side, sending him flying back. Elec grunts as he crashes into the ground but quickly rises, grinning. "This is just the beginning," Elec says, determination in his eyes as he charges back at Mori.

Meanwhile, inside Babidi's ship, the energy from their battle begins to surge. Unbeknownst to them, the fight between Mori and Elec is feeding the energy needed to revive Majin Buu. Babidi, watching from within his control room, grins wickedly. "Yes… yes… keep fighting… give me the energy I need."

The chapter ends with Mori and Elec clashing, their battle shaking the landscape as the Z-fighters delve deeper into Babidi's ship, unaware of the looming danger.
