Mori stood at the edge of the island, staring into the rising sun as the light poured over the horizon, illuminating the earth in shades of gold and amber. He reached out with one hand as if trying to grasp the distant sun, feeling the warmth on his skin, a brief moment of peace before the chaos of battle.
He glanced to his left, where Cell stood motionless, watching him with cold, calculating eyes. The bio-android hadn't moved since the night before. Mori gave him little attention, turning his back and teleporting to the Lookout.
Appearing suddenly in front of the Z-fighters, Mori's arrival startled everyone. Before they could even react, he spoke up, cutting through the tension.
"Sup, guys," Mori said casually, as if he hadn't just been locked in a standoff with the most dangerous being on the planet. "Goku should be coming out of the chamber soon, right?"
Piccolo nodded, his expression serious. "Yes."
Mori gave him a brief nod of acknowledgment and then turned toward the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He walked over to the massive doors, crossing his arms and waiting. The silence stretched for five minutes, the atmosphere tense, until finally, the doors opened, and out stepped Goku and Gohan, their hair still golden in their perfected Super Saiyan states.
Before either could say a word, Mori spoke. "Goku, Gohan, looks like you two got a lot stronger. You've even perfected the Super Saiyan state, huh? That's great," he said, a faint smile on his face. "I came up here to tell you, no matter what happens while I'm fighting Cell, don't interfere."
Goku blinked, his confusion evident as he opened his mouth to respond. "Mori, what are you—?"
But before Goku could finish, Mori had already teleported away, vanishing in an instant, leaving the group in shocked silence.
Goku turned urgently to the others, his brow furrowed. "What is he talking about? What is he going to do?" His voice carried an edge of concern, causing Gohan, Krillin, Trunks, and Tien to flinch under the intensity of his question.
It was Vegeta who broke the silence. "The human is going to fight Cell, Kakarot," Vegeta said, his voice low but firm.
Goku's eyes widened in disbelief. "What?" he breathed, the shock written plainly across his face. Before he could react, the scene cut back to Mori and Cell, now facing each other on a distant, isolated island.
The wind was still as Mori stood before Cell, his expression unreadable. "Can you breathe in space?" Mori asked abruptly.
Cell nodded, his smirk widening. "Of course."
Mori gave a satisfied nod and, without another word, shot into the sky, lifting off the ground and heading into the vast expanse of space. Cell, intrigued by Mori's sudden move, followed closely behind.
---
After about ten minutes of flying through the void of space, they finally stopped, now far beyond the reach of Earth, in the midst of a quiet sector of the universe. No planets or stars nearby held life, and Mori stopped, hovering in place. He turned to face Cell, the silence of the void amplifying the moment.
"It's time," Mori said quietly, his eyes narrowing.
Both fighters unleashed their full power at once. Mori's energy exploded around him, a radiant aura of silver and blue, shimmering like liquid energy. At the same time, Cell's power surged, a dark green aura swirling around his perfect form like a raging storm.
The sheer magnitude of their combined power began to warp the space around them. Stars trembled and shifted in their positions, and distant planets started to gravitate toward the two fighters, drawn in by the immense force of their energy.
---
Back on Earth, the Z-fighters stood on the Lookout, staring off into the sky, their expressions tense. They could no longer sense Mori or Cell's exact location, but what they could feel was overwhelming.
"They've left Earth," Piccolo muttered, his eyes narrowing. "This doesn't feel right."
Suddenly, they all felt it. Two powers—massive, unimaginable—far beyond anything they had sensed before. Even Goku, who had spent a year in the Time Chamber perfecting his Super Saiyan form, felt his stomach drop at the sheer scale of it.
"That power…" Goku whispered, his eyes wide in shock. "It's far beyond anything I've felt before… not even our perfected Super Saiyan forms could match that."
Gohan, standing next to him, was equally shaken. "It's stronger than even the state I reached in the Time Chamber…" he said quietly.
Goku turned to Vegeta, his expression urgent. "Vegeta, what kind of training did Mori do? How could he have reached this level?"
Vegeta, arms crossed, stared out into the distance. "He never showed this power during the year we trained together. In fact… I don't think he had it then. He left me for a whole year, saying he had a place where he could push himself further. A planet that would bring him to his limits."
The Z-fighters were left speechless as they contemplated just how powerful Mori had become.
---
Back in space, Mori and Cell hovered a short distance from each other, both smirking. They said nothing. No words were needed. In the silence of space, their eyes locked, and in the next moment, they both charged.
The clash of their fists sent a shockwave through the surrounding void, instantly obliterating several nearby stars and shattering planets into dust. The force of their battle bent space and time, rippling through the cosmos with each exchange.
Cell struck first, his fist glowing with energy as he aimed for Mori's chest. Mori twisted at the last second, dodging the punch and countering with a powerful roundhouse kick. The blow connected, sending Cell flying through a nearby asteroid, which crumbled under the force.
Recovering instantly, Cell shot toward Mori, unleashing a barrage of energy blasts that tore through the surrounding space. Mori weaved between the blasts, teleporting behind Cell and delivering a crushing elbow to his spine, sending him plummeting toward a distant planet.
Before Cell could crash, he regained his momentum, flipping mid-air and launching himself back at Mori. Their fists met once more, creating a shockwave that disintegrated the planet below them. The sheer power of their blows caused stars in the distance to flare and collapse.
Mori gritted his teeth, feeling the weight of Cell's strikes. *He's strong—damn strong,* Mori thought, his muscles straining as he blocked another punch. But he wasn't done yet.
With a burst of speed, Mori teleported behind Cell, slamming him into a nearby moon with a powerful energy-charged punch. The moon shattered into countless pieces, sending debris flying in all directions.
Cell, bloodied but still smirking, rocketed back toward Mori. "Impressive, but you'll have to do better than that!" he taunted, his voice echoing through the void.
Mori didn't respond. Instead, he charged forward again, his aura blazing like a star. The two met in a final, devastating clash, their fists colliding with such force that a massive explosion erupted, sending shockwaves rippling across space.
Both fighters were knocked back, bloodied and bruised, gasping for air as they floated in the debris-filled void.
And yet, neither of them showed any sign of backing down.
The battle was far from over.
