As the dust settled from Frieza's transformation, the battlefield grew eerily quiet. Frieza stood tall in his new, sleek, and deadly form. His muscles were more defined, his face more menacing, and his aura was oppressive. The air around him seemed to crackle with raw power, as if the planet itself trembled beneath his feet.
Mori, however, didn't seem fazed. Instead, he burst into laughter. "Hahaha, you turned into a bipedal lizard!" he taunted, pointing at Frieza mockingly.
Frieza smirked, his eyes narrowing. "With that joke, you're dead first."
Mori grinned, hopping up and down like an excited child, unable to contain his enthusiasm. "Oh yeah, it's my turn now! Didn't have a real fight all day, man. Let's gooo!"
Just as Mori was about to power up, Vegeta, freshly invigorated from a Zenkai boost, stepped forward, his aura flaring. "No! Frieza is mine!" he declared. His voice dripped with the intensity of someone who had been pushed to the edge, his pride barely holding together.
Frieza turned his attention to Vegeta, then back to Mori. "Let me handle this monkey first."
Mori, still fired up but now disappointed, powered down and sighed dramatically. "Aww, man. Fine, fine. I'll just wait for my turn." He walked over to Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo, crossing his arms. "You guys better hope Vegeta puts up a decent fight, or this is going to be over too quickly."
Piccolo eyed Mori curiously. "Mori, you're human, right? How are you so strong? Humans don't naturally reach this kind of power."
Mori raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Oh, that? Easy. When I was 17, I used Shenron to ask for the innate abilities of Saiyans. You know, that Zenkai boost thing. Shenron, being the generous dragon he is, even enhanced the ability, making mine better than the natural ones."
Gohan and Krillin stared at Mori in disbelief, their jaws practically on the ground.
"You... wished for that?!" Krillin exclaimed, his voice filled with shock.
"Yeah," Mori said with a grin. "It was the best decision I ever made."
Before they could question him further, Vegeta's voice boomed across the battlefield. "I am the legendary Super Saiyan!" His aura exploded with raw energy as he powered up, launching a massive blast straight at Frieza.
Frieza barely moved. With a flick of his hand, he deflected the attack back at Vegeta, sending the prince crashing to the ground. Vegeta's body hit the dirt hard, his confidence shattered. "No... I was supposed to be the one to defeat you…" he muttered, his voice cracking.
Mori, watching the spectacle, shook his head and called out to Frieza. "Hey, lizard! The prince is done. It's my turn now! Come fight me before my brother gets here! Come on, come on, come on!"
Frieza, amused by Mori's persistence, turned away from Vegeta and sauntered over to the human. The two stood face to face, the tension between them building like an electric storm.
Mori glanced over at Dende, who was hiding in the shadows near Piccolo. "Hey, little Namekian," Mori called, "heal the broken prince, would ya? Haha."
Frieza's eyes flicked toward Dende. His expression twisted into a smirk, and before anyone could react, he raised a finger. "Bang," he whispered.
In an instant, a thin beam of energy shot from Frieza's finger, piercing Dende's chest. The small Namekian exploded, his lifeless body crumpling to the ground.
Mori winced. "Well, that's my fault. Shouldn't have said anything. Can't do anything now, I guess."
Turning back to Frieza, Mori's playful demeanor shifted. His eyes locked onto the tyrant's. "So, a beam, huh? Let me guess… that's your 'Death Beam,' right? I've got something for you too. I call it 'Grimwave.' Let's see how you like it."
Without warning, Mori unleashed a powerful wave of energy, greyish-purple in color, straight at Frieza. The attack slammed into the emperor, sending him flying backward across the battlefield.
Frieza skidded to a halt, regaining his footing, his face contorted with fury. "You insolent human!" he hissed.
The fight between Mori and Frieza began in earnest, and the battlefield turned into a war zone. Blasts of energy crisscrossed the sky as the two fighters clashed, their speed and power shaking the very ground beneath them. Every punch, every kick, every blast was met with equal force. Mori, his muscles tensed, dodged Frieza's strikes with a mix of finesse and raw instinct. He could feel the intensity of Frieza's power, but he was holding his own.
As the fight raged on, Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin watched in awe.
"He's... keeping up with Frieza!" Gohan said in amazement.
"Unbelievable," Piccolo muttered. "But can he keep it up?"
Mori grinned, dodging another of Frieza's attacks. "You're pretty strong, lizard, but I'm just getting started!"
Frieza's eyes glinted with malice. "Is that so? Then how about I stop holding back?"
With a sudden surge of power, Frieza's energy spiked, his aura becoming a dark, overwhelming force. "Fifty percent should be more than enough for you."
Mori's expression faltered for the briefest moment. The pressure of Frieza's power weighed heavily on him, but he held his ground.
Just then, a familiar energy filled the air. Goku had arrived.
"Looks like I'm not too late," Goku said, his voice calm but serious. He landed beside Mori, his eyes fixed on Frieza.
Frieza's lips curled into a sinister smile. "Ah, the Saiyan. I was wondering when you'd show up."
Goku stepped forward, standing shoulder to shoulder with Mori. "You did good, Mori. Now let's finish this together."
Mori's grin returned. "Thought you'd never ask."
With Goku at his side, Mori felt a renewed sense of confidence. The two launched themselves at Frieza, attacking in perfect sync. They moved like a well-oiled machine, their strikes flowing into one another seamlessly. Goku would throw a punch, and Mori would follow up with a powerful kick. They worked together as a unit, their combined power pushing Frieza back.
But despite their best efforts, Frieza's strength at fifty percent was overwhelming. Every blow they landed seemed to do little more than irritate the galactic tyrant. Frieza laughed as he blocked their attacks with ease, his movements graceful and deadly.
"You two are amusing," Frieza said, deflecting a powerful punch from Goku. "But you'll never be able to defeat me. I'm in a league far beyond you."
Mori gritted his teeth, frustration starting to creep in. "We'll see about that, lizard!"
The battle continued, but it was clear that Frieza was toying with them, letting them attack just so he could prove his superiority.
As the chapter closes, Goku and Mori are panting, still fighting with everything they have, but it's becoming apparent that even their combined efforts might not be enough. Frieza, still smirking, raises his power further, preparing to crush their spirits entirely. The final showdown is far from over, but the odds are stacking higher against them.
The chapter ends with Goku and Mori staring down Frieza, knowing that the battle for Namek—and the fate of their friends—is about to reach its climax.
