"You went to sea just to find El-sama?"
Inside the auction hall, several Celestial Dragons were pale with fear, humiliated as they knelt, unable to move due to the pet collars tightly controlling them. Nef and Linlin, however, paid no attention to the Celestial Dragons, instead staring at the Three-Eye Tribe girl in front of them, astonished.
"Yes, Fallen Angel El is an idol for those of us from special races," Lillian replied, her voice low and her face still showing signs of the ordeal. She continued, "For races like the Fish-men, Longarm Tribe, and Longleg Tribe, it's relatively safe as long as they stay within their communities. But for rare races like the Three-Eye Tribe, Buccaneer Tribe, and Lunarians, we've been hunted to near extinction by the World Government's relentless pursuit."
As she spoke, her three eyes seemed to glow with admiration. "No one has ever truly dared to stand up against the World Government. Most of us just run, hide, and keep fleeing from their relentless hunt, as well as the Navy's. But El-sama is the only one who dared to resist. He not only led the Giants to destroy a Navy stronghold but also reportedly wiped out an entire Navy fleet by himself! And he was only nine years old at the time!"
Years ago, when El's bounty was first posted, it was news of him single-handedly destroying the fleet led by Vice Admiral Steel Bone Kong, the G-11 base commander, that spread across the seas and caused a massive stir. That event made Lillian realize he was a true rebel against the World Government, someone she could admire and aspire to follow. It was then that she decided to train hard and set out to find and follow Fallen Angel El when she grew up.
"Mamamama~, so that's how it is…" Linlin nodded in realization, puffing out her chest with a proud smile. "Of course! My El niisan is the best in the world!" Hearing Lillian's admiration for El filled Linlin with pride, and she felt an immediate connection to the Three-Eye girl.
"I'm Linlin, a fighter in the Fallen Angel Pirates," Linlin introduced herself with a grin. "And this is Nef, the ship's doctor."
"Nice to meet you. From now on, we're all on the same team," Nef said with a smile. She could tell that Lillian had significant potential, especially with her race's rumored abilities.
"I'm Lillian, from the Three-Eye Tribe, and also a swordswoman," Lillian introduced herself. However, her face quickly twisted in anger as she added, "If it weren't for those despicable people, I never would have been captured!"
She explained that she was born with a powerful Observation Haki that could easily cover an entire island, detecting even the slightest changes in energy. She had also become a skilled swordswoman, capable of unleashing flying slashes. However, shortly after setting out to sea, she was targeted by a slave-hunting crew. They initially didn't realize she was from the Three-Eye Tribe and just wanted to capture her as a regular slave. But when they discovered her true identity, they relentlessly hunted her. Worse, the leader of the slavers had the Rust-Rust Fruit ability, which allowed him to turn her weapon into useless rust during the fight. They also poisoned her weapons and gassed her, leading to her eventual capture and sale to the Black Flag Trading Company, where she was brought to the Sabaody Archipelago to be auctioned off.
"Don't worry, Lillian," Linlin said with a cold smile. "The Fallen Angel Pirates will help you get your revenge on those scum. None of them will escape."
With the intelligence network at their disposal, tracking down that slave-hunting crew wouldn't be hard.
"Linlin, Nef..." Moss and Rock appeared from the back, accompanied by several disheveled figures. "These are the slaves who agreed to come with us. The others who didn't want to leave have been freed."
"But it seems the Fish-man slave was saved by the Roger Pirates before we got to him," Moss added.
In total, there were about ten or so slaves who chose to follow the Fallen Angel Pirates. Many of the other captured slaves wanted to return to their homelands, so the crew released their collars and let them go. Whether they would make it back safely depended on their own luck.
"Haha, Jien, aren't you going to help your fellow Fish-men escape?" Nef asked teasingly, pointing to the dripping wet but stunningly beautiful mermaid who had just been freed from her glass cage. "She should be able to swim fast enough to escape and make it back to Fishman Island, right?"
Among the freed slaves were members of the Mink Tribe, the Longleg Tribe, and a few strong human slaves, including two muscular young men and three beautiful women. The presence of the strikingly beautiful mermaid, who had not immediately chosen to escape, surprised Nef.
"I… I don't want to go back to Fishman Island," the mermaid said nervously but firmly. "I want to travel with you all and see the world!"
Though she had nearly been sold as a slave, the mermaid was captivated by the dream of the Fallen Angel Pirates, especially the utopia they sought to build—a world without slavery or discrimination, where all races could live together in harmony. Seeing the diverse crew, including people from different races, further convinced her of their sincerity.
"I feel the same!" several of the other slaves echoed. Whether Minks, Longlegs, or even the human slaves, all expressed their desire to join the pirates. The human women had no home to return to and had already experienced the worst of human nature. They saw no other option but to stick with the crew.
"Mamamama~, if you're prepared to follow us, then come along…" Linlin said, looking down at the group. "But once you're part of the crew, there's no turning back. Being a pirate isn't a game!"
"Don't worry, we're ready!" they responded quickly, breaking into cold sweats from the pressure of Linlin's towering figure.
"Good, let's see how you do," Linlin replied before remembering something. "The Roger Pirates? Were they the strong guys sneaking around earlier?"
During her use of Conqueror's Haki, several people in the crowd had managed to stay conscious. But among them, only a few had truly caught her attention.
"Yes, I've seen their bounty posters before!" Moss said with a grin. "Their captain, 'Golden' Gol D. Roger, has a bounty of 200 million berries. His first mate, 'Silver' Silvers Rayleigh, is at 149 million berries, and their third-in-command, 'Bronze' Scopper Gaban, is at 110 million berries."
"The newspapers call them the 'Gold, Silver, and Bronze' trio!"
