Kyson, along with his friends, went to the Land of the Cross to seek help from the king. The soldiers arrested Kyson and his companions and took them to prison.
King: "You have a lot of nerve coming back here on your own, Arcidos."
Justin thought, "We're in a delicate situation, the king might kill Kyson at any moment." He was nervous.
Kyson: "Do whatever you want with me, just please listen to my request."
The king smiled and said, "Why should I listen to you?"
Justin: "If you don't accept the vampires, then at least listen to us!"
The king looked at Justin and said, "I only recognize humans, I don't acknowledge you dhampirs."
Justin shouted: "I'm a normal human!"
The king sneered and said, "Why should I believe you?"
Mira: "He's telling the truth; I'm the only half-vampire here."
Robin, leaning against the wall, said, "I'm just a regular human too. Justin and I aren't half-vampires."
The king, with pride, said, "That's enough. Regardless, you helped this vampire, so you're considered accomplices and will be punished with him."
Kyson, bravely, said, "I don't know exactly what your problem with vampires is, but for now, we need to set aside our grudges and work together." His eyes were serious.
The guards pointed their swords at Kyson. The king gestured for them to stand down and not act.
King: "You said cooperation?"
Kyson nodded and said, "Soon, the queen of the Land of Ruby will come with a large army to conquer the whole world, leading to a great war."
The king, a bit shocked, said, "War? But they haven't done anything suspicious so far."
Justin, earnestly, said, "They'll attack the Ideal Land first, and then it will be the turn of other lands."
The king, surprised, said, "So you're asking us to help you stop the army of the Land of Ruby?!"
Kyson: "Think about it, many innocent people will be killed, so we must stop them at any cost." His eyes were serious.
The King thought for a moment and said: "So, I have no choice but to accept your request for an alliance. However, I still don't trust you, Arcidos."
Kyson took a small box out of his coat pocket and said: "You can use this."
The King took the box and said: "What is this?" He opened it and saw a pair of red earrings inside.
Kyson: "With these, you can command me however you want."
The King was astonished and said: "Gabriel told me about these earrings, but I never thought they were real!"
Justin looked at Kyson and said: "Kyson, do you really want to be a slave to these people who killed all your friends?!"
Kyson said nothing and nodded with his eyes.
Mira, worried, said: "But you shouldn't do this!"
Robin: "You really are the strangest vampire I've ever seen."
The King frowned a little and said: "I need to think about it, I'll be back soon." He quickly left and closed the door.
Justin sighed and said: "What happens now?"
Kyson sat down, hugged his knees, sighed, and said: "I don't know."
Kyson thought: "Why didn't the King kill us right away? There's something about this we don't know."
The king summoned a man named Jackson. Jackson was sitting on the couch opposite the king, legs crossed.
The king, frowning, said, "You told me that day that the vampires had plans to break the agreement with us and if we didn't stop them, a great rebellion would occur, right?"
Jackson: "Yes, and we killed everyone to prevent that rebellion and show our superiority."
The king raised his voice angrily and said, "You lied to me!"
Jackson: "What do you mean, sire?"
The king: "Arcidos came back, knowing he wouldn't survive here, to request our cooperation."
Jackson: "What?! He came back?!"
Jackson thought nervously, "Damn Arcidos, I should have killed him that day!" He clenched his fists.
The king: "I will forgive this mistake of yours."
Jackson smiled and said, "Really?!"
The king placed his hand under his chin and said, "Only if you prove your worth in the upcoming battle."
Jackson thought, "This is a great opportunity; in the midst of the battle, when everyone's distracted, I can kill Arcidos to clear my record forever, and no one will ever know the truth!"
Jackson knelt before the king and said, "My lord, I am grateful for this opportunity you have given me. I will do everything I can to make you proud."
The king smiled and said, "Good, I'm counting on you, Jackson."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The king released Kyson and his friends and brought them to a room to talk. Jackson was sitting at the table, frowning.
Kyson thought, "Why is this man here?" His face filled with hatred.
Seeing Kyson's face, Justin thought, "Do they know each other?"
King: "Sit down, I want to talk to you."
Kyson sat directly opposite Jackson, glaring at him. Justin sat to Kyson's left, with Robin next to him. Mira sat to Kyson's right.
The king sat next to Jackson and said, "I have thought about your request and decided that for now, we should call a truce and cooperate."
Justin, happily, said: "So you accept our request!"
The king nodded and said: "But there are two conditions."
Kyson: "Is it about me? I accept any conditions."
King: "First, I will take full command, and you must follow my war strategies."
Justin: "That's fine, you have more skills than we do." He smiled.
The king smiled and said: "I knew you would agree, but I haven't mentioned the second condition yet."
Jackson sneered at Kyson. Kyson got irritated seeing Jackson's face.
King: "Second, after this war is over, you must hand over Arcidos to us without any objections."
Kyson thought, "That's why he's laughing at me, but I mustn't get angry and I must accept it!"
Kyson quickly stood up and said, "I accept!"
Mira looked at Kyson and said, "But you shouldn't accept it!"
Kyson looked at Mira and said, "I'm sorry, Mira, but I've made my decision."
The king stood up and said, "I like your courage. I eagerly await our cooperation." He smiled and approached Kyson.
Kyson thought, "Why is he getting so close to me?!"
The king shook Kyson's hand and said, "From now until the end of the war, we are friends, so make the most of this opportunity." He smiled.
Kyson sneered and thought, "So, that's the kind of person he is."
And so, the Ideal Land began its cooperation with the Land of the Cross.
