Phoenix let out a loud sigh, rubbing her temples as the staring contest between Cyrus and Leonard continued. "Alright, enough of this," she said, stepping between them. "Cyrus, stop acting like you're facing a battlefield, and Father, stop trying to intimidate the man I—" She paused, catching herself before she said something too revealing.
Leonard tilted his head. "The man you what?" he asked, feigning innocence, but the glint in his eyes showed he wasn't going to let that slip go unnoticed.
Cyrus, of course, caught onto it immediately and smirked. "Yeah, Nila. The man you what?" he echoed, clearly enjoying this moment.
Phoenix shot them both a glare. "The man who is supposed to be helping me stop a war," she corrected swiftly, crossing her arms. "Not standing around bickering like children."
