"Why?"

Mirio, dressed in a battle suit resembling All Might's—reminiscent of Superman's outfit but with goggles like a motorcycle helmet—asked in surprise.

"I don't like working in groups. Besides, it's just a trivial matter like planting a bug. With [The World], it'll be done in an instant." Itadori replied, turning and walking toward the other side of the intersection.

Mirio blinked, thought for a moment, and decided not to press the issue, "Try not to make a scene!"

Itadori raised a hand in acknowledgment without looking back. Mirio shrugged and headed toward his own target.

Half an hour later, at an open-air coffee shop...

Itadori sipped the shop's signature coffee, crossing his legs leisurely, "No signs of them yet." He muttered to himself.

Nearby, Petra perched atop the café roof, scanning the surroundings with sharp, eagle-like eyes. With a vision capable of spanning kilometers, Petra made Itadori's search much easier. However, the city was vast, and even with Petra's assistance, progress was slow.

Just as Itadori took another sip of his coffee, a dark figure emerged from the crowd behind him. Quietly, the man drew a pistol from his coat and aimed it at Itadori's back.

The figure squeezed the trigger.

Bang!

The bullet raced toward Itadori's neck, only to be intercepted by an ice wall that erupted from the café chair's base.

"What!?" The assailant gasped, stunned by the sudden barrier.

The commotion caught the attention of nearby pedestrians, who began murmuring in confusion.

Unbothered, Itadori turned his head with a calm yet chilling smile.

The would-be assassin's instincts screamed at him to run. Desperately, he grabbed a pedestrian and hurled them toward Itadori, using the momentary distraction to flee.

Itadori stepped forward to shield the pedestrian—a pair of professional-looking women—causing them to blush.

"So handsome." One whispered dreamily.

Meanwhile, Petra launched from the rooftop, flapping it's wings with intense determination.

"Damn it! What was that ice? His Quirk is supposed to be time-stop!" The fleeing assailant cursed, his panic growing as he pushed through a crowd.

Unveiled in the chaos was his face: a spiky-haired man nearing 1.9 meters tall.

Joi Irinaka.

A man whose Quirk, Mimicry, allowed him to manipulate walls and floors, albeit at the cost of extreme physical exhaustion.

Entering a quieter residential area, Joi finally felt the pressure ease—until he heard the unmistakable sound of wings slicing through the air.

"Cawww!"

Petra's sharp cry pierced the silence as it swooped in with icy determination.

"That damn bird!" Joi shouted in frustration.

Petra screeched again, spreading it's wings to unleash freezing winds. Icicles began forming in the air around him, their sharp points gleaming in the light.

"Damn it!" Joi yelled as he dodged the first volley of ice shards, which slammed into the street behind him, causing minor explosions.

Realizing he couldn't outrun the bird, Joi slammed his hands onto the ground, activating his Quirk.

The street twisted and buckled as the concrete walls and pavement surged to life, rising to form barriers around Petra. Joi compressed the walls inward, intending to crush the eagle.

"Die, you cursed bird!"

The pressure continued to build until the walls sealed shut, forming a giant cube.

Panting heavily, Joi collapsed to his knees. "Hah...hah...that should take care of it." He muttered, his body shaking from exertion.

He stood and surveyed the destruction, realizing the commotion would soon attract heroes or police. He needed to retreat quickly.

But just as he turned to flee, a loud crack echoed from the sealed cube.

A moment later, Petra burst forth, a freezing mist surrounding it as it flapped his injured wing. It's substitute, [Horus], had shielded it from the crushing walls.

Rage burned in Petra's eyes as it let out a fierce cry, spreading it's wings and launching itself high into the air. It wouldn't let Joi escape.

At the gates of a large, traditional Japanese house—the headquarters of the "Shie Hassaikai"—Joi stumbled back, panting heavily.

Two guards rushed to his side.

"Director! What happened? Are you injured?" One asked, alarmed.

"We'll get you a doctor right away!"

Joi waved them off, his voice hoarse, "Help me see the second-in-command...I need to report..."

Thwack! Thwack!

Before he could finish, two sharp icicles pierced the guards' skulls, splattering blood and brain matter across the doorway.

Joi froze, his heart pounding as the guards' lifeless bodies slumped to the ground.

"Cawww!"

He turned to see Petra perched atop a streetlamp, it's piercing eyes locked onto him.

"This... this damn bird!" Joi stammered, terror gripping him.

Petra spread it's wings, the air around it beginning to freeze once more. It's intent was clear: there would be no mercy for the man who dared attack it's master.
