Scene: The Mountains of Valendar, a Battlefield of Blood
The battle that had raged for what seemed like an eternity finally began to subside. Mordryn stood victorious, his chest heaving with exhaustion. The towering form of Vlord lay defeated at his feet, motionless. The once mighty dragon, feared by so many, was now lifeless, his blood staining the rocky ground.
Mordryn's sword slipped from his grasp, clattering to the ground. His entire body was drenched in the thick, crimson blood of Vlord, his own injuries only just beginning to catch up with him. The adrenaline that had kept him fighting through the endless hours of combat drained away, leaving him weak, battered, and on the edge of collapse.
Mordryn:
breathing heavily, barely able to speak*
"It's... over."
He stared down at the remains of Vlord, his mind swirling with emotions. Vlord's death should have felt like a triumph, but instead, there was an emptiness within him. He had lost control, driven by rage, and now he was left with nothing but exhaustion and a bitter taste of victory.
With great effort, he turned and began to make his way back toward Valendar Village, his steps slow and heavy. The battle had drained everything from him, but the thought of returning to see Kang Wo Hu and the villagers safe kept him moving.
Scene Transition: Approaching Valendar Village
The path down from the mountains was long, and each step felt like an eternity. Mordryn's vision blurred, his body screaming in protest with every movement. His injuries were severe, but he pressed on, determined to return.
As he approached the outskirts of the village, the sight of the small, familiar buildings brought a faint sense of relief. He could see the villagers moving about, no longer in panic, and in the distance, he spotted Kang Wo Hu. She stood near the village gate, scanning the horizon with a worried expression.
Mordryn:
weakly, barely able to lift his voice
"Kang... Wo Hu..."
She saw him. Her eyes widened, and she sprinted toward him. As she drew near, she could see the extent of his injuries, the blood covering him, and the exhaustion etched into his face.
Kang Wo Hu:
panicking, rushing to his side
"Mordryn! You're hurt! You... you're covered in blood! Are you—?"
Before she could finish her sentence, Mordryn's legs gave out. He stumbled forward, and she barely managed to catch him as he collapsed into her arms.
Mordryn:
his voice fading
"It's not mine... Vlord is gone... You're safe."
Kang Wo Hu's eyes filled with tears, a mixture of relief and fear as she struggled to keep him upright.
Kang Wo Hu:
urgently
"Stay with me! We need to get you help!"
But Mordryn couldn't respond. His body had finally given in. His vision faded to black, the last thing he saw was Kang Wo Hu, her face filled with worry, before he lost consciousness entirely.

Scene Transition: A Week Later, Valendar Village
Mordryn lay motionless in a bed inside one of the village's small homes. He had been in a coma for a week since the battle with Vlord. Kang Wo Hu had stayed by his side the entire time, tending to him, ensuring that he received the care he needed to survive.
The villagers, too, had come to see him as their hero, the one who had saved them from the terrifying dragon that had threatened their lives. But despite the danger being over, they still feared for Mordryn's life. His wounds had been severe, and it wasn't clear whether he would wake up.
Kang Wo Hu sat by his bedside, her eyes red from sleepless nights and worry. She gently placed her hand on his, her voice barely above a whisper.
Kang Wo Hu:
softly
"Please wake up... we need you."
Just as her voice trailed off, there was the faintest movement from Mordryn. His fingers twitched slightly, and then, slowly, his eyes began to open.
