Chapter 2 - Transfer Student (2/2)

"Okay Class, we have a new transfer student." The teacher called out to the class, causing them all to quiet down, while I stepped inside the classroom, causing me to be the center of everyone's attention. The Teacher asked me to introduce myself, so I did just that.

"I'm Anos Voidigoad. It's a pleasure to meet you all," I said lightly, sighing at how the whole classroom was quiet. This wasn't something I was shocked by; I was handsome. Being a devil, I guess my charm was just that much greater on them, not to add that Anos's charm influenced my looks. The moment I woke up in this body, my appearance changed, I didn't know what I looked like before, although my genetics were still the same.

The sound of someone's glasses shattering sounded throughout the classroom, drawing everyone's attention. I looked over and saw a girl with ponytails looking at me as if she saw a monster. I instantly grew uneasy, scared that she knew I was a devil... no, she didn't know I was a devil... why was she looking down at the lower part of my body?

"Go take a seat." the teacher said calmly, I nodded while going on to take a seat near the window. I looked around the classroom, ignoring all of the gazes on me, even the girl with the now shattered glasses.

'She should have the unique power to scan a person's dick size, she is a pervert.' I thought quickly understanding what type of person was eyeing me. I looked around the class and soon landed on someone else who had a deep hidden power deep inside him.

'I sense the power of the dragons of him, he should have some special type of sacred gear... I'm judging by the aura and his character, I would say that it's the Boosted Gear.' I thought. I went on to break down the whole classroom before I soon looked at the person next to my seat. A normal girl, who was blushing just from me looking at her.

I ignored her and went on to close my eyes. When the teacher tried to call me out for not paying attention, I easily solved the problems he was facing, and even pointed out some mistakes he had made... this caused him to avoid calling me out.

The school day was nothing new to me, I have moved so many times that I experienced everything. From girls gathering at my table once classes ended to everyone getting in my business to try and win my favor. It was something normal for me, and I learned to not simply push them always and simply reject them all with my imaginary girlfriend.

Being too nice would cause them to fight over me, and would make me the prime target of male bullies. I wasn't scared of being bullied or anything, but my mother didn't like it when I beat up a few kids... so out of respect for her, I didn't do such a task.

Well, by the end of the school day, I got up to go home, but I was met with Rias who was waiting for me.

"You didn't ask around," Rias said with a smile.

"I didn't need to... I don't care for others' opinions or thoughts on you. It's clear you're seen as a goddess in this school, you're arrogant and do what you want, you're somewhat spoiled although I don't know by how much... now the question is, are you arrogant because of your capability or because of your parent's capability?" I asked causing Rias to pause, not knowing what to say.

"I will accept the date, and once I realize the type of person you truly are... well, that would judge if I want to make you my girlfriend. I'm free tomorrow after school, don't keep me waiting." I said lightly, before walking off, leaving Rias frozen on the spot.

For the longest, Rias had wanted someone to see her, and not her family background... but for the first time in her life, she was forced to take a step back and look at the possibility that... well, without her family background, did she have anything else to be arrogant about?

To have someone judging her, trying to find if she was worthy... It bugged her to no limit.

"He is nothing more than a human, and he dares judge my worth?" Rias said angrily, to which Akeno just listened with a speechless look. Only a few people could get Rias to have such an outburst, but this showed how affected Rias was.

"I thought the only reason you wanted to go on a date with him was to get to know and feel out his sacred gear," Akeno said with a smile that was slowly growing.

"Don't tell me... do you have a crush?" Akeno said causing Rias to blush lightly before she looked away to hide that fact. But she indeed had a crush, from the moment she saw the human, she knew that human wasn't normal. This feeling went deeper than simply feeling his potential, it was like love at first sight.

"His words as enraging as it might be, it does shine a light at a fact we ignored..." Akeno said careful with her words. Rias looked at her in confusion, and Akeno spoke.

"You're talented, you could have been an Ultimate-Class Devil..." Akeno said not knowing how to continue, but this left Rias quiet as she took those words in.

The ranking for devils went as, Low, Mid, High, and Ultimate Class Devils. Rias had never trained much, even so, she was a High Class Devil, if someone like her pushed herself instead of relying on others, she would indeed be an Ultimate Class Devil, or at least nearing that level.

"You're saying... I'm wasting my potential by relying on others when I can solve my own problems?" Rias asked coldly, to which Akeno quickly tried to explain that's not what she meant, but Rias spoke.

"... you're right," Rias said through gritted teeth, she had tried to make her own identity for so long, that's why she wasn't in the demon realm and had instead come to the human world. She didn't want people to see The Gremory Household when they saw her... when they saw her, what were they supposed to see other than her beauty?

Today the person she had a crush on forced her to reflect on herself... now she was scared for tomorrow's date, her self-confidence was in question, and she wasn't so sure of herself at the moment...

"I'm home." Returning home, I announced my arrival, I did a quick look around and soon found my mother fast asleep on the sofa before the TV. I picked her up, and she didn't even react to me as she was fast asleep.

'She is getting weaker with every passing day...' I thought with a frown, she would have died a long ago if I wasn't healing her lost lifeforce. I sighed while taking her to her bedroom... where I laid her in bed.

I cast a spell, and my palm floated above her body, scanning every inch of her body. But like always, no new information was gained to help me out. Cutting my finger, a drop of blood fell on my mother's forehead, restoring her lost lifeforce... but all it was doing was slowing down things. One day she would never wake up, and that possibility scared me.

I cast a spell, a newly created spell by me. It allowed food to be sent into her stomach without her needing to eat. That way her stomach wasn't empty. I also created a spell that would keep her body in a state of frozen time, that way she wouldn't have to learn how to walk if she were to sleep for months or years.

'Should I ask for help from the devils? Why would they help a former nun... we're an outcast from both devils and gods.' I thought with a sigh, the main reason I didn't want to know who my family was... well, I was sure devils wouldn't be so open to the concept of a devil being raised by a nun. I picked her over my family, she sacrificed so much for me and put her faith in question. For that reason, I will always stand by her side... But how would I cure the unknown?

I was lost in thought, just looking at her fast-asleep face... she used to be so beautiful, but the illness was eating away at her health, she looked so weak and so fragile... it hurt to watch.

I sighed before drawing a magic circle in the air, and from there I went on to try and see if I could create a spell to help. I have been trying for days, some spells have had some effect, but I couldn't pinpoint just why they had a greater effect than other spells. Once I created over 100 spells that had some effect on making her better, I would use them as a map to find just what the problem was. I just needed to create 49 more spells.
