I felt optimistic when I got up the next morning. The previous day had gone well; Ethan and I had been able to speak to the business in a sincere manner, and in spite of Uncle Richard's residual skepticism, I was hopeful that maybe, just perhaps, things were beginning to calm down. But I knew the day wouldn't be as peaceful as I had planned as soon as I entered my office that morning.
