Chapter 32 - Religion

Soon me and Lilith Nix Kaos will go together to my room. Seeing how they walk in sync is strange, it's a bit different, mainly because although they walk differently, their rhythm is perfectly balanced.

'I guess that's how it works when a body has multiple heads...or should I say when multiple bodies have one life?'

We soon reach my room, snapping me out of my daydream. I open the door and go in, leaving the door open for them to follow behind. Finally, Violet shuts up, probably fell asleep.

'Do swords need to sleep?'

"Shall we begin, your majesty? First, let's talk about..."

"Wait, which one of the 3 of you will be teaching me?" I interrupt with my question.

"A-All three of us, your majesty," says Kaos, hiding slightly behind Lilith.

"...How so?"

"Each of us holds different memories that the others don't receive, meaning each of us has specialized in a different area that we've studied."

'That's kinda unfair...' She just stated that she can learn 3 times more than others by learning different things at once, though the fact that they share sensations but not memories is a bit strange.

But this way, it's as if she has 3 backpacks instead of just one.

"Getting back to the topic, I'll start speaking, and then it will be Kaos or Nix's turn," Lilith says in a mature and responsible tone, her voice no more alluring than her soft, plump breasts.

"In the beginning, there was nothing, a complete void formed the entirety of existence, and this void persisted for an uncountable amount of time, for the very concept of time did not exist then, so it may have been fast or slow."

"But at some point in this infinite void, the first being of all emerged, the Primordial Goddess, the strongest existence of all, the mother of all things."

"Finding herself in this complete void, the Primordial Goddess decided to do something to resolve the total emptiness that surrounded her."

"So, using her power, she began to form our universe, in a unique process entirely based on magic, she formed all things with form from herself."

"Thus, the Primordial Goddess became the pillar of creation, without her to sustain existence, everything would return to nothingness."

"But although she had created things, something was still missing, and that was "Life" something that would be conscious like the Primordial Goddess, and for that, the Goddess used her own body as a mold to create living beings."

"So, she formed beings that were similar to her image, these beings were humanoid like her and naturally became the first race to exist, as they were formed in her image, they were powerful and were called Goddesses."

"And so, the current Goddesses that all races venerate and worship were born, many gods were forgotten with the passage of time or were killed, only the strongest gods remained."

"But not everything went as the Primordial Goddess wanted, as time passed, the Goddesses who came after her decided to create something that would be beneath them in the hierarchy."

"So, they began to create beings that resembled their own images, taking the basis of creation made by the Primordial Goddess, as they did not have as much power as the Primordial Goddess, they could not create their own universes."

"Then, the Goddesses decided to choose existing things to form the races, but the Goddesses never got along well, and what was passed on to the races they created in their own likeness."

"So, when all the races were created, they became enemies, and among these Goddesses, we must highlight two."

"These two are the Goddess of the Abyss, Echidna Tiamat, and her twin sister, the Goddess of Demons, Aranthis Harbinger."

"Lilith, why is our Goddess the Goddess of the Abyss instead of the Goddess of Demons?" I ask with doubt after hearing the titles, although upon hearing this, my tail wagged excitedly, now I know the name of my mother.

"The two worked together, the Goddess of Demons was the one who created the demons, but she was killed by the Goddess of Humans, and the Goddess of the Abyss was the one who created the monsters, or in other words, you and me."

"That's why demons are not monsters, our creation differs from one another, but since the two were sisters and got along well, demons and monsters began to get along, and after the Goddess of Demons died, the demons started to worship the Goddess of the Abyss."

"Each race was created in the likeness of their God, and that's why we monsters have another form besides the humanoid, unlike other races that usually don't have this ability."

"Monsters are fundamentally the most different race of all, and the reason for this is that the Goddess of the Abyss was never like the other Goddesses, her initial form was completely similar to a monster, and she only later obtained a humanoid form."

"That's why the Goddess of the Abyss was seen as an aberration by almost everyone except her sister, we have no records of the real form of the Goddess of the Abyss, but it is a fact that she did not have a humanoid form initially, and that monsters naturally also often don't have one."

"Most monsters have distinct appearances, far from humanoid, and although some are naturally born with a humanoid appearance, they are still few and rare."

"Another fact that made monsters hated is that most are irrational and attack everyone, even their own species, the further they are from a humanoid form, the more irrational the monster is... but upon reaching a certain status, monsters can acquire partial or complete humanoid forms."

"And the reason why most monsters are irrational is not because our Goddess made us that way, but because we are made in her image, and the Goddess of the Abyss has an immense hatred for the other races except for the demons, and this was reflected in all of her creations."

"But since her hatred is so great, the monsters will end up becoming a threat to themselves, forming the law of survival of the fittest."

"The stronger monsters will overcome any weaker ones, this only does not happen in the case of a natural attraction between two monsters...in the case of what happened with me and your majesty."

"Lilith, do I have a completely monstrous form then? And why am I the Demon King if I'm not a demon?" I question her with doubt.

"Your majesty has another form, although I don't recommend trying to use it yet, you're not ready, and it could get out of control."

"As for the title, this happened while the Goddess of Demons was still alive, the two Goddesses decided together to come up with an idea to protect their races from the others, and that's when the idea of creating a being so powerful that even if it was the target of the whole world, it could still remain alive was born."

"But there is a limit to how strong a being can be, and that's where the Goddess of the Abyss made her greatest contribution, using the [Abyss], the Goddess of the Abyss made the Demon King not just a living being, but a natural force of the world."

"The Abyss is where the Goddess of the Abyss resides, naturally, to protect herself, the Goddess of the Abyss merged with the Abyss itself, and now that entire place is an extension of the Goddess's body."

"Using her own power, the Goddess of the Abyss makes the Demon Kings a natural force of the world, making them extremely powerful like a true natural disaster."

"But the case of the Daughters of the Abyss is different, the normal Demon Kings are just demons who receive the privilege of being chosen from birth to carry the power of the Goddess of the Abyss."

"But the Daughters of the Abyss are born with that power, instead of being a borrowed power, it is an innate power that came from the genetic heritage, the Daughters of the Abyss is a literal term for the daughters of the Goddess of the Abyss."

"And the position of Demon King is chosen by the Goddess of the Abyss, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a demon, but the Goddess usually chooses a demon, the only Demon Kings who are not really demons are your majesty and your sister, who are monsters instead of demons."

"Why don't the other Goddesses create something similar?" I ask why they don't create a powerful person in their own races.

"No one knows how to do it..."

"Y-Your majesty, the Goddess of the Abyss developed the method on her own, t-that's why no one else knows how to do it," Kaos timidly interjects.

"The records show that she created this method together with her twin sister...s-so only the two of them know how to do it."

"I see...about the Goddesses, why are they all of different races if they were created in the image and likeness of the Primordial Goddess?" I question, and Nix soon interrupts.

"The reason is quite simple, your majesty, although they were created in the "Image" and likeness, this refers mainly to the fact that they are humanoid, it's not so much a matter of general physical appearance, but rather whether they are humanoid or not."

"That's why each one has a distinct appearance...the reason why the Goddess of the Abyss was the only one to not have a humanoid form in the beginning is something I don't know."

"Now I'll talk a little about the gods of other races, I'll mainly mention the most relevant ones," Nix says in an energetic tone.
