The morning sun filtered through the thin curtains of the medical room, casting soft rays on Josuke's face. He blinked awake, groaning slightly as he stretched, his body still slightly sore from the previous day's events. His eyes darted to the bed where Hinata had been resting, only to find it empty.
"She must have left already," he muttered to himself, feeling a pang of worry. It wasn't like her to disappear without saying anything, especially after the beating she had taken during her match.
Deciding it was time to get ready, Josuke grabbed his clothes and headed toward the bathroom. His mind wandered as he walked, thinking about how fragile Hinata had looked the night before. "I hope she's doing better," he thought, his hand reaching for the bathroom door.
Without knocking, Josuke pushed the door open and stepped inside. He barely had time to process the sound of running water and the faint hum of someone inside before his eyes landed on Hinata.
She was standing in front of the sink, her back partially turned to him, dressed in nothing but her bra and underwear. Her long, dark hair was slightly damp, strands clinging to her shoulders as she looked up in surprise.
Their eyes locked.
"AAAHHHH!" Hinata screamed, grabbing the nearest towel and wrapping it around herself as her face turned a deep shade of crimson. "JOSUKE, GET OUT! GET OUT!"
Josuke panicked, instinctively throwing his hands over his eyes. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" he repeated, but his fingers parted slightly as his curiosity got the better of him.
"You're peeping!" Hinata shrieked, her voice rising in pitch as she grabbed a bar of soap and hurled it at him.
Josuke flinched, narrowly dodging the projectile. "I swear, I didn't see anything important!" he lied, backing away with his hands still up.
Hinata wasn't buying it. She grabbed a bottle of shampoo next, ready to launch it at his head. "I said GET OUT!"
In his rush to retreat, Josuke stepped on the slippery bar of soap that had fallen to the floor. His feet flew out from under him, and he let out a startled yelp as he lost his balance. Time seemed to slow as he stumbled forward, arms flailing wildly, and landed directly on top of Hinata.
The room fell silent, save for the sound of their breathing. Hinata lay pinned beneath Josuke, their faces inches apart. Then, in a cruel twist of fate, Josuke's lips accidentally brushed against hers.
Hinata's eyes widened in shock, her entire face burning as red as the morning sun outside. Josuke froze, his mind racing as he realized what had just happened.
"I-I'm so sorry!" he stammered, quickly trying to push himself off her.
Hinata turned her face away, avoiding his gaze. Her voice was barely above a whisper. "Just… just get off me…"
Josuke scrambled to his feet, his own face flushed with embarrassment. He was about to apologize again when he heard a soft click. The sound made his stomach drop.
Turning his head, he saw Lily standing in the doorway, holding up her phone. Her mischievous grin stretched ear to ear as she snapped another picture of the compromising scene before her.
"LILY?!" Josuke shouted, his voice cracking as panic set in.
Lily waved her phone in the air triumphantly. "Oh, this is gold. Absolute gold!"
"DELETE THAT!" Josuke roared, lunging toward her.
But Lily was already one step ahead. She bolted out of the room, laughing as she called over her shoulder, "Wait until Kyle and Maya see this!"
"Lily, NO!" Josuke yelled, chasing after her. "Don't show them that! PLEASE!"
Hinata, still sitting on the bathroom floor with the towel clutched around her, could only stare in horror at the scene unfolding before her. She didn't know what was more mortifying—the fact that Josuke had seen her like this or that Lily now had photographic evidence of the entire ordeal.
Her heart pounded as she scrambled to her feet, slamming the bathroom door shut and locking it behind Josuke as he ran out. She leaned against the door, her face buried in her hands. "This can't be happening…"
Meanwhile, Josuke was hot on Lily's trail as she weaved through the hallways of the medical facility. She was quick, darting around corners and laughing like a maniac as she clutched her phone.
"LILY, STOP!" Josuke shouted, his voice echoing through the halls.
"You never learn do you !" Lily called back, her tone teasing. "This is your punishment for being a pervert!"
"I didn't mean to ugh, just give me the phone!"
But Lily wasn't about to make it easy for him. She turned sharply into a side hallway, narrowly avoiding a collision with a passing nurse. Josuke followed, muttering apologies as he tried to keep up.
If Lily showed those pictures to Kyle or Maya, Josuke knew he'd never hear the end of it. Kyle would probably create a slideshow presentation or worse the turkey game again, and Maya would use it as blackmail material for years to come. And then there was the king. If word of this reached him…
Josuke shuddered at the thought. "I'd rather face a rogue devil than deal with this!"
Lily finally stopped at the end of the hallway, turning to face Josuke with a smug grin. She held up her phone, waving it tauntingly.
"Come on, Josuke," she said, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. "Just admit defeat. These pictures are mine now."
Josuke glared at her, his hands clenched into fists. "Lily, I'm serious. If you don't delete those "
"What?" she interrupted, raising an eyebrow. "You'll fight me for them?"
Josuke hesitated, knowing full well that a fight would only draw more attention. "Just… name your price," he said through gritted teeth.
Lily tilted her head, pretending to think. "Hmm… I'll consider it. But for now, I think I'll hold onto these. You never know when they might come in handy."
Before Josuke could respond, Lily spun on her heel and disappeared around the corner, leaving him standing there, seething with frustration.
"This is the worst day of my life," Josuke muttered, running a hand through his hair.
Back in the bathroom, Hinata sat on the edge of the tub, her face still red as she replayed the events in her mind. Despite the embarrassment, a small smile tugged at her lips. Josuke had looked so flustered, and in a strange way, it made her feel… cared for.
Little did either of them know, this was only the beginning of a very long and very embarrassing day.
