Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2 : Ragnar’s last stand

Ragnar's Final Battle

The battle began.

Energy collided with energy, the very earth trembling beneath Ragnar's raw power. His enemies attacked with relentless force, but Ragnar held his ground. His body moved like a blur, fists of fury and dark magic flinging through the air. Each blow was a force of nature, and yet, his strength began to wane. The toll of years spent running, hiding, and fighting had worn him down it was clear that the lack of training had caught up to Ragnar as he wasn't as powerful as before .

With one final roar, Ragnar unleashed a devastating wave of power, tearing through the enemy ranks. But even as he fought valiantly, he knew his time was near.

Suddenly, as the demons closed in, the world around him seemed to blur. The chaotic sounds of battle faded, replaced by an eerie silence. A vision unfolded before Ragnar's eyes—a vision of a child. His child. Josuke.

He saw the boy, now a young man, standing in a city surrounded by the glow of flames and destruction. But Josuke wasn't just a child of Ragnar's past. He was a symbol of hope—of what could be. The vision shifted. He saw Josuke standing tall, commanding his powers with a grace and strength Ragnar never knew he had. He saw him battling against impossible odds, the same power Ragnar once wielded flowing through his veins. But this time, Josuke wasn't consumed by darkness. He was different—he was better.

Ragnar's heart swelled with pride and relief. For the first time in years, he felt peace.

His vision shifted again—he saw Aiko, smiling, her eyes filled with love and warmth, watching over Josuke. And finally, he saw the moment when Josuke would rise up, embracing his legacy while rejecting the darkness of his lineage.

"Live, Josuke," Ragnar whispered through the battlefield, his breath ragged as the vision began to fade. "Live, and find your purpose."

The world around Ragnar shattered. His enemies descended upon him, their weapons aimed at his heart. Ragnar, in his final moments, could only laugh. It was a laugh that rang with both sadness and joy, the laugh of a father who had seen his son's future, who had seen him rise from the ashes of a legacy tainted by darkness.

"You're the future," Ragnar whispered, his voice barely audible. "Live… Josuke."

The last of his strength evaporated as his vision dissolved. The final battle came to an end as Ragnar fell laughing as hard as ever as he laughed in the face of death, before the energy that had once been his power dissipating into the air like a dying star. His enemies stood over him, but there was no sign of live in Ragnar eyes. Ragnar had died pass his will to his son.
