Chapter 12 - Rescue at Chaman Border

Scene 1: Mission Briefing at Headquarters

At 2300 hours, the briefing room was tense. Major Hamza stood in front of the tactical map showing the Chaman border and the routes used by the traffickers. Zayan, Ubaid, Rizwan, and Aliza were gathered, listening intently.

"The traffickers are moving college girls between the ages of 18 to 25 in a concealed container. The operation is time-sensitive—the container departs at 0230 hours. We must intercept it before it crosses the border into Afghanistan."

Hamza's eyes darkened. "The leader of this trafficking ring is a man called Jalal Khosti. He's ruthless, and his syndicate has ties with terrorist groups. Arresting him alive is a priority."

Zayan folded his arms. "How well-armed are they?"

"Expect automatic rifles and resistance," Hamza replied. "Rizwan will lead the assault team. Aliza, you'll handle infiltration and extraction of the girls. Zayan and Ubaid, you're on overwatch with snipers. The entire operation must be executed by 0300 hours."

"Understood," Zayan said, tightening his gloves.

"Good luck," Hamza said, nodding firmly. "The lives of those girls depend on you."

Scene 2: Moving into Position

The vehicles rolled through the night under cover of darkness. The team moved silently along the rugged terrain near the Chaman border. Zayan and Ubaid climbed to an elevated position on a nearby ridge, setting up their sniper rifles to provide overwatch.

Through his scope, Zayan spotted the container truck parked at a dusty checkpoint. Armed men patrolled the area, inspecting their weapons and guarding the captives. "Visual on the target," Zayan whispered through the comms.

Aliza crouched next to Rizwan near the convoy. She adjusted her earpiece. "Infiltration team in position. Waiting for the green light."

"Stand by," Zayan said, scanning the area. "One guard by the gate... another two patrolling near the truck. I count six hostiles visible. There may be more inside the warehouse."

"Copy that," Rizwan responded. "We move on your shot."

---

Scene 3: The Assault Begins

At exactly 0215 hours, Zayan squeezed the trigger. His first shot dropped a guard at the gate with surgical precision. Ubaid followed, taking out a second hostile before he could raise the alarm.

"All clear," Zayan whispered. "Move."

Rizwan and Aliza advanced toward the truck, weapons drawn. They moved like shadows, neutralizing two more guards with silent takedowns. The team reached the container and found it locked with a heavy padlock.

"Aliza, you're up," Rizwan said.

Aliza pulled out her lockpicking tools, working quickly. The seconds ticked away as tension hung in the air.

"Come on..." she muttered.

With a click, the padlock popped open. Aliza threw the doors wide, revealing frightened girls huddled inside the dimly lit container. Some were crying, others too scared to move.

"We're here to help," Aliza whispered, gently coaxing the girls out of the container. "Stay quiet and follow me."

---

Scene 4: Jalal Khosti's Escape Attempt

Just as the team began to move the girls to safety, the sound of engines roared in the distance. A black SUV sped toward the convoy. Through his scope, Zayan recognized Jalal Khosti, sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle.

"Target spotted. He's making a run for it!" Zayan alerted.

Rizwan cursed under his breath. "Aliza, get those girls to safety. Zayan and Ubaid, stop that SUV!"

Zayan aimed for the SUV's tires and fired. The front tire exploded, causing the vehicle to spin out of control and slam into a boulder.

---

Scene 5: The Final Confrontation

Jalal Khosti stumbled out of the wrecked SUV, clutching a pistol. Two armed men followed him, providing cover as they attempted to escape toward the mountains.

Ubaid radioed in, "Engaging the hostiles."

Zayan and Ubaid opened fire, dropping the two guards with precise shots. Jalal fired wildly in their direction, but he was no match for their marksmanship. Zayan shot the gun from his hand, and the trafficker fell to the ground, clutching his wrist in agony.

Rizwan and his team rushed in, pinning Khosti to the ground and slapping handcuffs on him. "Jalal Khosti, you're under arrest," Rizwan growled.

The trafficker sneered. "You may have stopped me, but others will take my place."

"Not if we find them first," Zayan replied coldly.

---

Scene 6: Extraction and Rescue

With Jalal Khosti in custody and the girls rescued, the team quickly moved back to their vehicles. Aliza comforted the girls, assuring them they were safe now.

"HQ, this is Team Alpha," Rizwan reported over the radio. "Mission accomplished. Hostages secured, and the leader is in custody. Returning to base."

"Copy that," Major Hamza's voice crackled through the comms. "Well done, team. Extraction choppers are en route. ETA five minutes."

As the team waited for the helicopters, Zayan scanned the area one last time through his scope. "All clear. No signs of reinforcements."

The sound of rotor blades filled the air as two helicopters swooped in, ready to extract the team and the rescued girls.

---

Scene 7: A Mission Completed, but the Fight Continues

Back at base, Major Hamza and Colonel Emad greeted the team as they disembarked. Jalal Khosti was taken into custody, and the girls were provided medical care and counseling.

"You did good tonight," Hamza said, clapping Zayan on the back. "But this isn't over. We need to dismantle the entire network."

Zayan nodded. "We'll find them. One by one."

---

Scene 8: A Moment of Reflection

Later that night, Zayan stood alone on the base's rooftop, gazing at the stars. Aliza joined him, silently standing by his side.

"Think those girls will be okay?" she asked softly.

"They will," Zayan replied, his voice steady. "Because people like us make sure of it."

---

The mission at Chaman was a success, but the shadows of evil lingered. The fight wasn't over, and the team knew that more challenges awaited them in the future.
