Two years later, Kumagamure.
A man rushed into the Raikage office and spoke hastily "Raikage-Sama! A cloaked figure has been circling our village for over three hours and the shinobi we sent to investigate have yet to return!" The man spoke while breathing heavily.
A raised an eyebrow, "Just one?" He asked, his tone nonchalant.
"From what I've seen, yes." The man spoke, still catching his breath.
"Haaa… and who did you send?" A, the Raikage asked while looking through some papers to see who was currently on a mission.
The man itched the side of his face and replied "three gennins, Aoi, Taro and Renji."
"Ah," A looked up from the papers, realising most of the high ranking shinobi were currently on missions, "Summon Yugito Nii to my office." The Raikage waved his hand, making the man leave to go fetch this Yugito Nii.
…
"Haa…" a cloaked figure sighed as they stood before three charred corpses, the three had been burnt without any chance of resistance.
The figure was pretty short for an adult, showing that they were either just really short or still a kid, either way the only thing you could see from within the hooded cloak was two piercing white eyes.
However, the figure suddenly vanished, and where it was standing, a large azure fireball swept the area leaving a trail of ash on the ground.
The figure appeared ten meters to the side and laughed before it muttered, "Finally, someone powerful."
In the cloud of smoke, a tall and slender woman with blonde hair and black eyes wearing red lipstick walked out, on her forehead was the standard Kumogakure forehead protector.
She analysed the small cloaked figure, his dark burlap cloak flowing in the wind, and for a moment she noticed two piercing white eyes beneath the hood.
"Hmm? Those eyes? Could you be the infamous 'White wraith'?" The woman, Yugito Nii, the Jinchuriki of the two tails, matatabi, spoke.
The figure flinched at the mention of that name, before a feral growl was heard and the figure disappeared once again.
Appearing behind Yugito, the figure attacked with an open palm, seemingly trying to scratch her?
She dodged back, using her reflexes she had honed over the years to be similar to that of a cat.
She quickly analysed the situation, she could see the open palm of the figure before her, the black and white scaled hand with sharp black claws that were seemingly coated in a pale white lightning.
But as she was analysing, the figure disappeared once more, appearing to her right and throwing a kick aimed at her abdomen.
Being well versed in taijutsu, she deflected the kick and dodged backwards, her fingernails began to grow, becoming similar to long claws.
However, the figure appeared before her again, so her attempts at gaining distance were futile.
She lashed out with her claws, trying to slash at the face of her opponent.
However, the figure was also too well versed in taijutsu and immediately parried her swipe before delivering a blow to her liver.
"Haa cmon, you're better than this, surely?" The figure spoke mockingly, Yugito was surprised by the childishness in the figures voice.
Yugito leaped back into the air, suddenly inhaling a large breath of air before shooting a flaming ball of… hair?
The figure looked at the azure flaming hairball aimed directly at him, but it was slow.
Slow enough for him to simply flicker away, however, to the figures surprise, the hairball seemed to transform into the figure of a mouse and chased after him.
"Hmm…" the figure looked at the azure mouse running at him, but then somehow sensed Yugito running at him from behind.
The figure leaped into the sky, and two large black and white wings appeared from his back.
The figure's cloak was pushed back, revealing the half covered face of a young man.
It was naturally Riku.
…
Over the past 2 years, Riku traversed the ninja world with the goal of plundering jutsu from small villages, and today, he had the goal of infiltrating Kumogakure.
For the past week or so, Riku had been scouting out the area, watching and waiting for all the high ranking shinobi to leave the village.
Riku had been called many names over the years, but the 'White Wraith of Katabami Gold Mine' was his most known name and was even displayed on his bounty poster, which had increased to 50,000,000 Ryō somehow.
'Haa, all these villages and still the only good fight I've had so far was with that Raiga fellow that wouldn't stop spouting the same line over and over talking about how I 'was strong but not as strong has him!' Oh and 'anger can't save you!', that was really annoying.' Riku thought, his face grimacing at the thought of that day.
*Well, you haven't gone anywhere large enough to have any strong opponents.* Kokuenryū spoke with a sigh, he had gotten used to being sealed within Riku and had softened up to him slightly, but still believed Riku was merely a vessel for his return.
Riku scrunched his nose, "Well, I'm here now." Riku spoke aloud, his voice deeper than before matching his slightly older appearance.
Riku wore a hooded dark burlap cloak, on his face was a mask that covered the lower half of his face. His hair ran long, falling to his lower back and was perfectly split between black and white. His eyes were white in colour with slit pupils and four slowly rotating tomoe surrounding the pupil. On his back rested a beautiful black and white sword-in-sheath.
And… he was much taller, going from 140cm all the way to 170cm in just 2 years.
…
Yugito's eyes widened at the sight of two large wings protruding from the seemingly young child's back.
Riku still wasn't eligible to use the scales of Kokuenryū in combat else his body will be destroyed from the inside out.
Riku floated thirty meters above Yugito and looked down at her with nonchalance in his eyes.
'What the hell kind of jutsu is this?' Yugito thought to herself, but it was intimidating enough for her to use her partial transformation.
Riku watched as Yugito got on her all fours as one azure flaming tail appeared from her lower back.
All of a sudden, she lunged upwards at Riku, to which he simply retracted his wings and fell down, causing Yugito to fly right past him.
However, she suddenly flipped midair, defying the physics Riku knew and descended alongside Riku.
Riku wanted to match her in every way, copying her long nails with his draconic claws, and now when he landed, a long black and white scaled tail was moving around as if it had a mind of its own.
Yugito's eyes widened as she focused of the swaying tail behind the cloaked child before her.
'A Jinchuriki? But how…' Yugito thought quickly, not taking her mind off the battle.
"My tail seems way cooler then yours." Riku teased, having not spoken to a human in nearly a year Riku had almost lost the ability to create conversation.
Riku hated talking in battles that he wasn't confident in winning in, but in situations like this, where he wanted to test the limits of his prowess he didn't mind a bit of teasing here and there.
Yugito looked at Riku with a dumbfounded expression, 'Does this kid think we're friends or something?' She thought as she lunged forwards, her long claws whistling in the wind as they descended on the young man.
Riku looked up at the claws descending onto him, but they were awfully slow in his eyes, this was one of the four abilities granted by the Dōjutsu Riku had named the 'Ryūgan'.
Riku's Ryūgan granted him a different ability for each tomoe.
1st. The Ryūgan grants the user incredible clarity of perception and can even see chakra to a greater degree than the Byakugan and the Sharingan. This enables users to distinguish certain types of clones and even identify specific individuals' chakra signatures. Its ability to see chakra is acute enough to see the chakra pathway system within a target's body and the 361 tenketsu that run along it. Along with this, it can also see the chakra nature affinities of anyone he focused on.
2nd. From what Riku could tell, it was an ability similar to if not stronger than the genjutsu from the sharingan, but he didn't have access to this yet as he had no knowledge on genjutsu, but it also allowed Riku to predict the movements of his enemy, almost like he could subconsciously read their mind.
3rd. The third ability allowed Riku to create and manipulate his mono-flame out of thin air, without having to actively exhale the mono-flame, this also increased his fire chakra to 100%.
4th. The final ability was Riku's personal favourite and the one that had helped him the most, it allowed his body to fully replicate any jutsu he performed once without using hand seals, for example if he used a jutsu using hand seals, the next time he used it, he could use it without hand seals.
Thanks to an application of his 1st and 2nd ability, he could see in slow motion for a short amount of time, but this was nothing in comparison to Dylan Arden.
(Dylan Arden is the Ren Arden's long distance relative that could see the world in slow motion.)
Yugito's swipe fell down onto Riku, but he spun aroun, slapping Yugito in the face with his tail, sending her flying backwards.
Yugito skidded across the ground before quickly turning back over and standing on her feet, licking the blood from her lip, she looked at Riku with arrogance.
'What the hell is she looking at me like that for? I'm clearly stronger?' Riku thought to himself, looking at her smug face.
Riku suddenly locked in.
Riku suddenly charged at Yugito without a word, his claws cutting through the air with deadly precision. Yugito reacted in a split second-a well-developed reflex that had been honed over these years of training-almost on time, sidestepping to avoid the lethal swipe and answering with a quick kick against Riku's midsection.
Riku twisted, his tail wrapping around her leg in an attempt to knock her off balance. But Yugito was ready; with an easy leap into the air, she did a backwards flip and landed a few feet away. "Is that all you've got?" she jeered, her lips curling upwards in a smile.
Riku's face did not change one single expression, but the arrogance was full; another lunge, this time sending him into a flurry of punches where each and every one landed with increased strength in his draconic claws. Yugito blocked and moved, fluidity and detail in each of her motions, but it was slowly worn down by Riku's relentless drive.
With a sudden surge of chakra, Yugito transformed, her body enveloped by the raging aura as she summoned the power of the Two-Tails. "You'll regret underestimating me!" she shouted, her voice echoing with the strength of her beast.
Riku's eyes widened somewhat, but he steeled himself well enough. He met her charge head-on, his claws clashing with her fiery chakra. The result was ground-shaking, because the impact created a crater beneath them.
They exchanged blows, and Riku's long dragon tail slapped against Yugito's side as it whipped about, sending her tumbling across the forest floor. But she sprang right back to her feet, eyes wild with flame.
Riku dodged to his side, and the flames singed the air right where he had stood a second before. He shot back with a high-speed kick but aimed for her head this time; Yugito ducked and sent him a spinning kick in return-caught him by surprise.
The two fighters danced around each other in a whirlwind of claws, kicks, and chakra. With a harsh roar, he released a strong strike backward; his claws gleamed bright with energy.
Feeling the danger, Yugito used all her power; her body changed as she readied to use the entirety of the Two-Tails' power. The two of them shook the ground as they charged at each other, intent on trying to overpower the other in a final, decisive blow.
Yugito suddenly lunged at Riku, then seemingly 'double jumping' midair before flying down towards Riku in an attempt to slice him with her claws imbued with Matatabi's chakra
Riku looked disappointed at the slow slash aimed directly at him, "Fū would've ended the fight in a way cooler way…" Riku muttered as he quickly blocked the slash, and then sliced open Yugito's stomach with one quick swipe with his claw, he was done playing around, he got what he wanted.
This blow would be fatal if it wasn't treated soon, but that was for a regular person, Yugito was a Jinchuriki and she would be fine regardless.
With a disappointed sigh, Riku put his hood back up and made his way into the village.
